  • Surely NFC is virtually at zero cost when manufacturing a phone, so why not do it?

    • For every model, it have their own brand Product Positioning, if you need smartphone that support NFC, you can check this for you reference:

NFC isn't very popular in China, which is the primary market for these phones.

    • so is band 28, but they don't seem to include it.

If its for the Chinese market, it's made as cheaply as possible, and that often includes minimizing software design and hardware feature activation.

    • My last three phones have had NFC but I have never used it.

      • Nexus 5, oneplus one and Xiaomi mi mix 2……

i don’t use nfc as it’s just easy to pull credit card from my wallet and decide which bank i will pay with ….in not a person that walks around with a phone in their hand all time waiting for the important life changing call, it’s usually zipped in a pocket or in my bag .

nfc is being trialled with some public transport providers which would them be relevant to me as a commuter.

Everyone is saying it doesn't have x because it's cheap. Sure, if it actually were cheap… but all i see is low res screen and average chipset and a BIG PRICE.

    • didn’t even check screen res at this price point and would assume all phones k er $200 are at least 1080p, it’s not even 1080p ….

  • Screen res trash

    Ew

  • Still a lower resolution screen than the 3-year-old LG G4…
I'm still patiently waiting for a phone to be better than the G4 in every way. hasn't happened yet.

    • the older flagship phones hold up well hardware wise, only shortcoming is android updates / upgrades.

i guess if they keep on delivering updates like apple do for iphones eg 5 years of updates people wouldn’t upgrade their android phones as often.

my v20 is fine hardware wise but still waiting for oreo and android pie is out already.

  • Screen resolution 😏😏

  • GPS phone - cool!
