I love these headphones. They were half price to $89.95 at the EB sale two or three weeks back. Not sure if still on sale though.

Great headphones for running. They actually stay in your ears!

    • And if one ever pops off for whatever reason, they are not lost to the ground as the loop is really good.

and you can still hear surrounding and wont get hit by cars

and you can basically throw them away in the bag, the cable wont get damaged or tangled, not like others

and they dont stucked deep into your ear canal and create that air vacuum thing inside your ears

    list go on….

Yep the fact they're earbuds and not IEMs is the main reason I got these, if I'm out running it's nice to be able to hear what's around me as well. I have IEMs too, but these are great for running and the gym.

      • Do they leak sound heaps?

        • Not really, it actually stays in your ears and feels comfy to wear even for prolonged hours.

        • @Smokey010: how are these on a noisy bus?

        • @potatosalad: It is quite great tbh, you do not lose too much of sound outside. I reckon should be good in noisy surrounds.

        • @Smokey010: Got one for myself. Surprisingly they don't leak sound heaps. Bass is quite lacking - being an open style earphone, but good enough for exercise, and decent enough in a quiet environment. I found the treble to be very lively.

I tried these on a noisy bus, wouldn't recommend for listening to music since the engine rumble drowns out all that's left of the bass. Videos and podcasts are fine. I like using these at work since I can still hear people calling me, should I choose to tune into that.

Also went for a few runs with these. At first I felt they were really loose in my ears and were going to come out, but now I'm used to the feeling - and they do stay in very well :) 8hr battery life is also a big plus. Probably only other negative I found to these is the massive amount of wind noise I had during a windy run.

    These are the best.

Once you buy a pair you realise how many people use them.

"Once you buy a pair you realise WHY many people use them."

  • These are Bluetooth earphones yeah? Can anyone recommend wireless earphones where you can preload music onto them and don’t need a phone? Cheers

    • Not sure if that exists.

An alternative may be using a smartwatch to play music though.

I used to use a cheap armband case for my device from Amazon/eBay/Aliexpress and carry phone on upper arm, it worked OK.

    • Sony has them, jbhifi had them on a special few months back. search thorugh the forum

    • Oakley Thump Pro does this. Also Apple Watch can have music put on it and played wirelessly without an iPhone.

  • these are fantastic - the price is amazing for what they are!

the battery stays strong and charges fast as well.

i also use these for work calls and no dramas at all

I have one of these … it;s now 1.5 years old. The battery life on mine is not great anymore and lasts just 1 hour now. But still the best headphones for running and sports.

    • Mine is about 5 years old and it is still going strong. I use it almost daily for work and I absolutely love them. I'm still amazed that they have not somehow 'updated' the model since it was first released all those years back. I guess "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". :-)

I have been using mine for about more than a year and the battery is still doing just fine. Also I am sure it comes with 2 year manufacturer warranty so maybe give it a shot if warranty covers that?

    • mine more than 2.5 years, and battery still last around 2 hours. but just last week the wings broke. and the flap covering usb charging port also gone.

  • Highly recommend these headphones. Great quality and are perfect while performing exercises such as skipping, running or gym.

  • hows the base on these?

  • simply the BEST

  • they are amazing.. or were. idk.

had the first edition ones and they were my favourite possession. simply perfect for gym, running, cycling, all things in life lol. even got a free replacement pair when mine broke. but then had to buy a new pair and got the second edition ones. literally went through 3 pairs before i got one that actually worked. still, even with the ones i finally kept, it's not quite right.

that being said i hope it was just a really bad batch. I'm a bit scarred atm but will hopefully come to forgive them bcos they are great

  • I've had a pair for years and they are the best bluetooth ones I have had. Great sound, very comfortable and easy to connect (no drop outs either). Great for the gym as the "cord" is rigid and doesn't sit on your neck so doesn't tug when you turn your head. I also wear them 2-3 times a week in the sauna with no issue. Some of the paint has come off from around the ears but this would be from being covered in sweat 3-4 times a week. I'm going to buy another pair in a different colour. Highly recommended!

  • I still have my first edition pair. These are the best, I previously had a sennheiser equivalent but wired. The moment I saw this, I knew this would be perfect. Last week my wife washed it in the machine, and it was still OK (although I was smart not to turn it on immediately, giving it time to dry in rice at night so the asians would come out to fix it). Highly recommend. When I bought mine, it came with a free case, which turned into an armband. - I also loved this case but lost it along the way. Too bad they don't give it out anymore.

  • Very good for running! Had it since v1. Bought 2 more for wife and sister because they are good!

This has got to be one of the most super positive set of personal opinions I have seen for an item in the ozBargain community EVER!

Even the people who said that theirs broke were very positive about how good it was.

I'm tempted to get another pair just for the heck of it now. :-)

  • I'm tossing up between these and the Jaybird X3. Anyone tried both?

I'm worried the solid band might make these harder to twist into my tiny ear holes. They're half the price though, so they might be the way to go.

    • What do you mean by the solid band? The ear plugs are a little stiff, but what helps them stay put is that extra loop there, which tucks into the grooves of your ear lobe, pushing it towards your earhole. The ear buds themseves can be rotated a little bit so you can get the right angle into your orifice. Can't speak for the X3 haven't had experience.

      • I mean the rubber band that goes around the back of your head. It looks like it wouldn't allow for as much movement as a cord. I've ordered a pair so I guess I'll see!

        • The band around the back of the neck is very directionally flexible but at the same time feels nice and solid to provide some rigidity that prevents the loop from flip flopping everywhere. In other words, the headset will always be orientated in the right direction unlike other thin wire type headphones.

        • It's floppy enough to lay flat on the table. Does that answer the question?

        • @schwinn: yep fair enough. I thought it was more rigid.

Officeworks now has them as $98 for clearance prices. In the Geelong OW now. Maybe this is just going the be ‘clearance’ until JB stops the sale so they don’t have to pricematch.
