KZ3 Special Edtn. with jungle green DS3 is ~88 aud after SAVE4 code. That's cheaper than the RRP of the controller alone.

Aus and the UK are in the same region (B) when it comes to Bluray.

DVD is different, R2 vs R4, but most players can easily be unlocked by punching a specific code into the remote, do a search for your players model number.

the ps3 is region free for games so all games will work but remember
1: often games from asia/usa wont let you purchase download content from psn, its possible to get around this but its complicated if your not familiar with how to do it.
2: download content is often region coded, so if your games have download content and you want to add it onto your game, its best to get the game from a uk seller as games from the uk are cheap and compatible for both pal games and download content bles codes (you can see the code on the spine of the cover)
