Zodiac FX18 Robotic Pool Cleaner $749 Delivered @ Pool and Spa Warehouse

Recently bought this compact robot pool cleaner for $749, the same deal on eBay as their website. However, with eBay gift cards at 3% off, I could buy it delivered for around $730. Quite happy with the purchase so far, it cleans my pool as well as the more expensive Dolphin cleaner I had. Only used it for a month, so cannot comment on the longevity.

Thanks to @OldBugger for pointing out that it can be bought for $724 with eBay plus. Hope you get some more savings with eBay gift cards on top of that.

I have this one. It’s good, not great. The control unit buttons keep pushing in and not coming out again. Whilst I’ve had no real issues, I don’t know if I would buy it again .

Would like to know how this Zodiac compares to the Aiper branded items that are getting a lot of advertising, anyone happen to have experienced the Aiper comparable model?

@31mop - do you have the 100micron finer particle filter insert?

Apart from any cleaning abilities, big difference with Aiper being battery powered - and non-replaceable at that.

I’ve got the Aiper S1. Only had it for a few weeks but personally for me it hasn’t missed beat, cleans my pool perfectly and having no cords is great.

No idea how long it will last but I’ve been hosing it down and drying it thoroughly after every use.

Does floors, wall and waterline but I mainly just brush the walls and steps first and then just do floor as that’s where most of the debris is.

Once I purchased it, they shipped it within 2 days.

All in all pretty happy but I do think it depends on what kind of pool you have etc as I have seen some people not be a fan

I would think prices should be falling soon, a lot of new and much cheaper robots on the market now.

  • I managed to snag a Aiper Seagull Pro for $599 from their ebay store last week. It arrived yesterday and from 2 the uses so far it seems to work pretty well.

I've got a relatively small (7m x 3m) kidney shaped fibreglass pool which seems to make it tricky for the unit to form any kind of useful pattern in cleaning the floor, and it sometimes seems to be pushing leaves around vs vacuuming them up - but it is certainly better than the Pentair Rebel it replaced which is essential ready for the tip after 1 year.
