MI Xiaomi COOWOO U1 LED Desk Lamp with 4000mAh Battery & 2x USB - US $21.99 (~AU $29.77) Delivered @ Joybuy

480

I was searching Google for a lamp that's also a charger and came across this Flash Deal from April. It seemed to get quite a bit of interest before so I thought people might like to know it was on again.

I had been looking for one with Qi charging but I decided to grab this which just has two USB charging ports. $30.47 inclusive of GST if buying in AU$.

Only my second post so apologies if I've got anything wrong.

Bought one from last deal. Good quality, never used as a charger. A good cordless lamp on my coffee table watching TV. Charge once, still good.

Can't find how bright or how many lumens it makes

I have this. Used it during a black out. It is not bright at all and will not illuminate very far. Don't be misled by that thumbnail. It was taken during day time.

    • You know it's not meant to be used as a torch or room lamp, right?

What's it meant to be used for?

        • Novelty.

Hold your finger on the touch button which turns it on/off. That adjusts the brightness - it becomes too bright at max brightness!

Found this out by accident when moving it around.

I did not know that. I'll have to try it next time.

  • The USB charging is what? quick charge, QC, or just normal? Edit. 2.1a total only….

And they should doubled the battery to 8000mah at least. Yes thicker base is fine

For this price I'm v satisfied. Use it every day

      • That's what she said

        • +2

Wish mine would say that everyday :(

        • @pw2002au: Why don't you find one who does?

  • -1

Why is there a battery on it?

    • So it doesn't need to be plugged in. Duh.

thks, bought one, being rechargeable and not needing power point or cord makes it handy for the locations I don't normally keep a lamp

    • +1

Agreed, it's great for the areas where the sun don't shine

  • So this isn't suitable for a bedside lamp to help with reading in bed?

    • +2

I think it's good for that purpose, what is your concern? It's more than bright enough at max brightness and turns down very low as needed. Provides an evenly diffused light.
