It's rare to see the Maldives on this cheap, and from under $400 return from Perth is a steal.

        Good advice. In some cases the local islands are very close to the resorts. Less than 100meters over water. Local ferries to get between islands. And some nice waves.

  Last time we hired a 80 footer ship for a week, with air-conditioning room, captain, deckhand , chef and meals included. About $8000 including tips, shared with 10 mates. Something to consider.

      We actually booked Horizon 1, but last minute engine problem, they sent us a replacement , fully wooden hull.
