Is this the case again where VIC gets the electric start mower and the other states get the full petrol?

I much prefer a full petrol over electric start/hybrid, not sure about batteries and how long they last, can they be replaced. etc.

Any suggestions from anyone who bought one last time?

    • +1

I'd like to know too - sometimes Aldi tools can be excellent value and decent quality, but usually they're cheap and fall apart quickly.

    • The battery they use is the one they provide with their battery drills/power tools. They frequently release them as stand alone purchases, typically when they have a power tool sale. IIRC $29 for the battery, or less if they are sitting in store for a couple of weeks.

      Pic of battery

  • Is the line trimmer any good are they same models as previous ones or different how do they compare to cheaper ones at bunnings.
Dont bunnings when aldi do these things drop prices on there items to match.
If so wonder what they offer compared to aldi.
Im after a line trimmer but not sure if a good buy from aldi prefer it cheap as not be used too often.

I wouldn’t go anywhere near Aldi products that are electrical. More often than not they will end up being a dad. The only good thing is their returns policy is excellent and if you’ve lost the receipt but paid for it on your card you just have to look up the date that you paid it and I will refund you

FFS, these are not living beings and certainly don't have the capacity to impregnate anyone.

That is plain Sexist! In this age of enlightenment why can't they be a mum?

      Gotta love voice to sext

      You'll refund us, eh?

    • The return policy isn't that good if you are looking for a replacement though, thats where bunnings win as they always have stock.

Aldi will just repair or return your money.

      • Also, am I the only one that would feel stupid wheeling something like a mower or log-splitter into Aldi to return it?

        • If you think you would feel stupid doing that, try a queen sized bed… all in individual pieces because it wouldn't' go back into the box.

  • Been looking at a self propelled mower for my dad now that I've moved out.

Anyone have experience with the Aldi one or do you think $100 extra for this Victa from Bunnings is better?
I notice the Aldi one is 43kg whereas the Victa is 32kg.

There is an incline from front to backyard so trying to get the right one for to ease the workload on him.

      Go the Victa.

Not sure I'd trust the longevity of using a battery system to power the petrol mower. Seems like a lot more stuff to go wrong.

    • This isn't self propelled I don't hunk. It's just electric start and that's it.

      • This is self propelled, it's stated in the brochure.

  • That 14000 l/h pump seems to match up to the XU1 from Bunnings (same price and specs).

4 litres per second, that's a lot of water.

I only understand Olympic size swimming pools as a unit of measure when it comes to volume.

      • +1

It would take about 7.3 days to drain your neighbours Olympic sized swimming pool into yours. Wait until they go on holidays.

  • Does any body has a good experience with those runners ?

You get what you pay for with shoes.
Looks like it has a thicker rubber in the medial section which is good for people who overpronate

      • Cheers, I think so too.

    Good effort OP.

    • yeh a lot of effort. i would have just waited til everyone saw the catalogue. but then again i'm a crappy typer.

        • When i say a lot of effort.. i mean hats off to OP because I'm not that dedicated

Did not anybody notice they are selling a 4 stroke chainsaw?

I was in the industry, this is a revolution, its like when the car put the horse/carriage out of business, its a key moment in history, nobody else has this on the market.

Will be buying one to tear down and look/inspect and test, and of course return

Need confirmation but i think 909 aka GMC is behind it, refer.

    Oils are WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY overpriced

    • +1

Yeah, I noticed and I was thinking the same thing. Have never seen a 4stroke chainsaw.. Would be interesting to see how it goes, but I think it would be heavy

  • Do the lawn edger, the brush cutter/ line trimmer, and blower vac represent good value for money esp since they have a three year warranty?
