haha ok soooo full disclosure, it was after three weeks of travelling around the Croatian islands on a yacht, so it was a hard act to follow. That said, customs was a nightmare. I dont have a problem at all with asians, I love travelling around SE Asia, but the Chinese, overwhelmingly seemed very rude, not willing to help out, etc. The Great Wall was the ultimate tourist trap. I could go on, but long story short, in my opinion, save your cash and travel anywhere else for a holiday.

Ive just been to shanghai /Beijing & as part of our holiday, unfortunately it was awful in two separate days we were nearly killed by the taxi drivers going to sleep at the wheel one on the highway one on a main road smashing into the side rail and another car i wont go on but thankfully all 3 of us uninjured but still shaking lol we also found the visa processes a nightmare and so did everyone else we talked to ,im sorry i haven't got a good review for you and there are other things that we had problems with in china also but you do have to hear all reviews good or bad . hope you have a great holiday if you go .

visa process a nightmare? fill in the paperwork and go to the china visa centre. -simple.

Every one is different and likes different things. Croatian islands, Greek Islands, Malta etc. All hold no interest to me at all. I've been to China twice and loved it. I like it more than Vietnam, Japan or India. Street food in India was the best, but eating soft shell crab on a stick (3 crabs per stick) in Xian was a delight!

Just got back from Beiging a week ago. If you’ve never been to China, which I hadn’t, and I wanna have an enjoyable holiday have a long hard think about whether or not China is the right place 😳🙄
