good work with the metadata, what other sorts of things are you able to find out?
Your address and phone number. Interestingly my metadata shows ISO640 and 1/50sec shutter speed.
Back to the lens - 50mm f1.8? - cheap but pretty good.
The 1000D is only a minor consideration in the depth of field (eg sensor size). The aperture of the lens does makes a huge difference though.

Maybe worth waiting for the 1100D. By then the price of this model will nose dive.
Correct, however most of the 1000D stocks have dried up all over the place. From the brief scouting around I have done to camera shops/HN/JB hifi etc, RH is one of the last shops to stock the 1000D, so I would say that unless stocks dont sell, this may be as good as it gets.
