  • Nowadays gaming computers need at least a 500GB for the primary storage as games can easily reach 10GB size, then consider Windows's installation plus other programs.
Also in 2018 we still need to buy 5400RPM hard drives?
It looks like to me that they recycled old stock stuff and put together, the video card is just ok for a basic gaming computer.

They do come with higher storage SSD with a higher price tag. I would rather buy with HDD and get a deal on SSD, instead of paying RRP of SSD and same goes for the RAM

      • You still pay the 128GB SSD then you keep it as coaster or paper holder as it's pretty useless.
And you still pay for the useless 500GB 5400RPM drive, good also as paper holder.
BTW, the price tag is still not convenient in my opinion.

        • Pretty easy to sell on fb or gumtree

        • @Jimmy007: We don't know what kind of socked they come with so you might not be able to sell them at all, also go waste your time on selling them to time wasting hunters looking to buy for 1/3 the original price.

        • @dealhunt: well when you want to save $. You got to work for it. I have no problems with selling things for profit.I just post it and leave it until someone says “I can pick it up today”

@Jimmy007: But the main purpose here is to buy a "working" gaming laptop at deal price not working to sell my just bought brand new hardware.
Anyways, you have the right to do that.

        • @dealhunt: you don’t have to pull it apart as soon as you open the box.

AU tax $500+…… This is all over YouTube under $1k…. With greater specs!

    Amazon

    Evidence: MOD NOT MY YOUTUBE!

    https://youtu.be/rXPOIfwhZLE

    • Video you linked has it for $949 convert to AUS it works out to $1285 add GST to that and the price seems pretty good.

      • $749US actually from link in description and has higher specs!

        • After currency conversion and including GST it comes up to $1120 something and the shipping on top which I am sure won’t be too much but lets say US$80 (AU$107). Total roughly AU $1227. Then no warranty from Dell. So what’s the difference?

To get this deal to almost similar price as in your link, there are many rewards programs who offer 6% off on Jb HFi gift cards.

        • My bad thought it was the next one up. Still not a $500 tax though is it?

        • @crift85: But the one I linked has 1060 Max-Q!!!!!
          For less still
I will conceed it does not mention 128GB SSD???

  • Ebay has a sale on which includes dell and get a laptop similar to this for $999.
