On your description, you have a typo on the 500Gb model, "200GB $124"

    • thanks for that, fixed

So the price has gone up and that makes it a bargain ?

    • +16

Yes… because it is currently the best price for a great product. And the description specifically says "for anyone that missed out"

For SSD speculators that thought it was gona get even lower.

Stock? You need it to be in stock to buy.

          @dabell:

          I'm guilty of this.

Picked up a 1TB at $221 but then held off on a 500GB drive for my laptop hoping the war between eBay and Amazon would drive the prices even lower.

Commence again, the waiting game does.

        • 'For people who were too lazy to buy it at a much better price'?

I'm going to guess that's not what neil means when he talks about title improvement.

  • MX500 good for 4K gaming or stick with 850/860 EVOs?

      same same

      • ^^

It's fine for it. The speeds are comparable and it'll be the gpu which bottlenecks in any case.

Literally any SSD is good for gaming… No matter which one you get will reap the benefits from gaming on an SSD.

The only thing that matters for gaming is the read speeds for loading. Even the shittiest SSD has more than high enough read speeds for gaming.

    I thought I read 2TB $244.. hopeful thinking

        ayyy, true

  • I can't get this price. $154.45 for 500GB delivered

    • do you have an ebay plus subscription?

  • Complete newbie here.
Do I need to buy a SATA cord as well?

    • +1

      yup

Not if you're installing this into a laptop. If you're installing into a desktop, you might need one if your not replacing an existing drive.

  • 2TB was cheaper during Amazon US prime day 432.96 AUD + 43.37 shipito forwarding.

  • Has the price been upped?
