No, it's a different type of panel. VA are closer to IPS than TN, though.
AH-VA, AH-IPS, PLS are IPS. VA or MVA are not IPS.

Seems too cheap…. trying to work out what the catch is. Lots of stores selling it and I can't find a single review. It's pretty no frills but thats hardly a surprise at that price, and it isn't 'QLED' or 'Quantum dot' like their more premium panels.
VA normally won’t have much uniformity issue so that’s a plus. Just check GtG response time and also refresh rate seems to be basic. At this price I’ll go ahead and buy if I don’t already have an ultra wide.
Used the Quantum dot 32 inch UHD, and it suffers from PWM backlight flickering when dimming.
Won't buy because it's Samsung. My experience with Samsung products is terrible. I got a Samsung laptop, RRP $1500, broken in a year because of the battery inflated. A Samsung TV, broken after exactly 2 yrs so got no warranty. A Samsung mirrorless camera, never worked once without any issue.
