Is every Dell swarm going to be listed here?
Another inkjet, which means massive ongoing costs. For $50 you can buy a decent laser printer now.

    • It's no worse than all the CoTD and similar stuff.

  • How does this printer perform as opposed to the previous Swarm deals?

Edit: Did a search and found the previous thread on it-
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/37992

  • did the previous one fax? or everyone just use a program for faxing these days?

  • I 'bought' it, but didn't give over any personal details… wonder how much shipping will be before I actually but it…

    • postage included so it's free shipping!

  • good price but i only use "free" printers :)

    This guys are fake.
Last lcd deal, looks great, however I have not received their coupon yet. Sent them a couple of emails, only get one reply, asking me to check my junk mail folder. Told them I checked, still no reply yet. (sent them a couple of emails after their reply).

    • +3

      Dell is fake?

      • +3

dell IS dodgy - no argument about that

    • or maybe you enter the wrong email?
I got the code without any problem!

    • yeah it worked for me too

  • -5

Already sold out so don't bother

    • Looks like you missed out by about 2 mins. Unlucky!

    • +4

      you missed out and neg?
      don't think that's a valid reason mate!

      • There is definitely an error on the dellswarm website,as previously mentioned by a few people during the Dell m905, LCD sale and now this thread that some people did not get their coupons.

        http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/37245

Best thing is to take screenshots of the "purchase". I did not get my coupon for the m905 mouse however if you shoot an email to [email protected] and threaten them for bait advertising, they will probably call you back to arrange for the purchase. I got a call back from them after 7 days.

I made a purchase tonight for the printer and got the coupon immediately, whereas my girlfriend purchased it and it did not come through (after checking all folders).

Best thing is to take screenshots of the "purchase". I did not get my coupon for the m905 mouse however if you shoot an email to [email protected] and threaten them for bait advertising, they will most likely call you back to complete the purchase. I got a call back from them after 7 days.

    • send all your complaints to that address, lol :)

Dell Swarm deals are getting a bit pointless — released on Tuesday 12am once per week, and sold out within 30 minutes so you'll have to way 6 days and 23.5 hours before the next heat. They should at least do it once a day and have more of those 23" LCD goodies for $115.

    • I think, they never knew things will be exhausted so quickly.

      • Never knew? Dell Swarm has been live for a good 2-3 months now and judging by their sales from last couple weeks, their sales manager ought be to sitting in a meeting right now with their product manager!

    • and they are also regularly printers. How many printers does everyone need?

      • +2

Well I have 4 bathrooms to service … LOL

        • You raise an interesting point. Looks like a late night for me next Monday :)

        • that is a lot of paper!

    • I agree. I signed up hoping they would swarm some of their decent monitors or clearance lines of workstations or servers. However it's all crap!

  • does anyone receive swarm updates via email? i am subscribed to email updates and i've received nothing in my mailbox. not that i would have bought this item, but it doesn't hurt to know what the deals are.

  • Anyone with spare ink code? Thanks.

  • Hey guys, anyone sitting on some spare codes for printer/ink?

    Much appreciated, thanks!

  • The printer is pretty good. Just sold out too quick every time. I got this V313W last Swarm. I think the wireless scan itself worth the price.

But as already pointed out, ink cost is very high. And there's not much included in the start pack.

  • Big deal , wireless MFC are going for around 50-100 at most for the last 2 years why bother staying up and paying for dell inks and their shiity support.

  • +1

Here is my code for the printer. First in best bargain :) sorry no ink codes…. but I would recommend going to your local computer fair/ weekend markets to pick up generic cartridges for $5.

    • Thanks.

  • +1

    Here is mine

    8X31TZN7Q9KHBM

    Use it quick!

    • Was about to, but then I saw the reviews on amazon. Apparently this device is god-awful. But props for posting up your code :)

    • Okay I took the bite and bought it. My old scanner (HP ScanJet 4200C) is still going strong after 9 years, except HP does not have a Vista/Win7 driver for it, and I am returning my last XP laptop in 2 weeks.

So I guess $23.76 is a pretty good price just for the wireless scanner.

      • If you need Win 7 driver use the "VueScan" app!

        • ScanJet 4200C is not supported :(

And the cost of license for VueScan is more expensive than a new wireless scanner/printer. Oh well.

        • ScanJet 4200 is supported, so not sure the extra "C" make any different.
I just send you the code for the appz so give it a go.

  • Good thing the coupon's valid for 7 days? Give me a lil more time to research more on it before I decide to buy it.
