Bissell SpotClean Auto - $147.98 @ Supercheap Auto

120
SAVE20

I nearly jumped on the previously popular deal from @princess_nik_nak but thought I'd hang out for the auto varient for the extra tools which supposedly make it easier to clean car upholstery.

This works out to be roughly the same price ($147.98) when you use SAVE20 combined with cash rewards 6% cash back and has excellent reviews.

Thanks to TA for the original 20% off Supercheap Auto post

    These are actually really good.

However, I'd wager a normal wet dry vac has MUCH more suction (I own this one, it's a beast)

And really all this is is a scrubbing brush and a sprayer.
I've always gotten away with a spray bottle of nappysan, and this vacuum.

      These are actually really good.

      Agree.

      They make great coffee

  • Shame they dont bring into Australia the heated model-

Instead these just use hot tap water (heatwave tech) it looks like.

    • huh? This is the heated one "Heatwave technology helps maintain a constant water temperature when cleaning"

It doesn't have a heating element. I think it just keeps heat in or perhaps transfers heat from the motor. It won't heat up if it goes cold. Learnt the hard way…

        • Based on the size of the water tank and how fast its consumed (being so small), along with the "Heat wave tech" to keep it warm, I doubt a heating element would serve the same benefits as a Carpet cleaner, where water reservoir consumption would be less in relation to size.

By the time the element would need to maintain or heat the water up, v's hot water, it would already be consumed, I would agree if you were refer to large carpet cleaner, IMHO.

        • @rokkz: it's a bummer when you only use half the reservoir. It goes cold and becomes less effective. Sure you can measure precisely but that's often not how things work out…

        • @wolfshooter: This is true, however you could always use smaller amounts, but going back and forth filling small portion all day is time consuming, and to that I see your point!

  • Thanks OP. Purchased one. Now need to find who sells cheaper Formula to use.

I'm sure I don't need one. Not even with multiple toddlers. But I've seen it posted on here so much I'm starting to want one.

    • They're good for small clean ups. Not so good if you need to clean large areas.

  • couldnt i just use my wet dry vaccum and brush with detergent ?

    • Yes you can. Only benefit is being able to spray as you vacuum with one hand. It's also smaller than most corded wet/dry units but then also less capacity/power.

I have one of these and it did a killer job of cleaning my ex-takeout-delivery car that has all sorts of nasty spills and stuff on the seat. Initially I had borrowed one of those large wetvac units from Bunnings but found them to be way too big for spot cleaning, whereas this has all the right size attachments for spot cleaning. Can’t recommend it enough.

  • When I checked out in PayPal I got an extra 6% discount on top of the 20%. Then it also got added to my cash rewards. Is the 6% PayPal discount something to do with cash rewards?
