  • Hi Herashly, I see that you are the rep for Zoupon/Deals. When you guys changed your website with the name change, one of my vouchers disappeared. I had bought two hair dressing vouchers and now there is only one voucher. Your company had changed the voucher section previous to this and the second voucher disappeared. Then the voucher section portion of the website was restored to the original version and I had two vouchers again. Are your web people sorting this out?

  • six course Greek banquet for two - does this mean each get 3 course? :P

    • no

    surely this isn't worth $160?

    • you could probably get as good a feed or better at other Greek restaurants for $80-$90 for two, including seafood…

but $49 for two, is still a good price…

    from their everyday menu:

    Banquet Kyma

    Seafood and Meat Banquet
mixed dips with house baked pita bread
    saganaki and pickled octopus
    calamari and prawns
    mixed grill platter
    greek salad
    dessert coffee and tea 45.00

so they do appear to get grossly inflating the value of the deal, which is what i suspect for alot of $xxx value meals for $yyy.

$45 seems about right for a meat & seafood banquet at a Melb Greek restaurant…

Maybe they charge $35 per shot of ouzo ???

I stay away from these "deals".

Would be better if they gave you $150 worth of food for $50 and don't make you declare that you have a discount coupon.
That way they don't know who is using a coupon and can treat you like any other guest.

Problem is, they treat coupon customers/new customers like cr@p.

    • Problem is, they treat coupon customers/new customers like cr@p.

why would a waiter treat a coupon customer like crap?

      • because they think you're a cheapskate and hence deserve crap service.lols.

Funny enough it is often true. You feel like you are paying less than others in the restaurant and sometimes feel guilty (we shouldn't). Sometimes they try to "encourage" you to buy extras/drinks and you feel the pressure. It should be a win-win situation though. A chance to try a restaurant you wouldn't normally and a chance for them to get a new customer (making future visits). We went to ChilliPadi (Thai, Melb Central). While the food was good we got really small portions in the banquet. We felt we were ripped off with the voucher (but at least we didn't pay full price)!

Occasionally you are given great service and told you have nothing (extra) to pay (with a genuine smile) they are the places we would return to for a full price meal and tell our friends about.

      • I ate Chillipadi Melb Central (it's Asian, not Thai) 3 times on those voucher deals, twice on Banquet, once Buffet. I didn't think the portions were small, or that it was a "rip-off" in any sense of the word. Matter of fact, we enjoyed the banquet meal meal more than the Nonya Buffet fare. At $20 per pax (steep, no doubt), it was always about quality food. I have vouchers for pizzas if I just want to fill my tummy!
