PROXY

Highlights of this monitor:
4k
VA panel
HDR
FreeSync
VESA
86% NTSC colour coverage

Seems like a great price for a 4K HDR FreeSync monitor that has good colour coverage. I'm not entirely sold on the stand but VESA should fix it if you can find a good stand. No reviews yet as I think it's not even released.

  • Working in an office and watching every user set their 4k screens, even 28"+ to 150% scaling (at least).

I'll still maintain that below 42", 1440p is the 'golden child'.
Easy to run, application compatible, and still sharp.

    Good deal though!

    • In Windows 150% scaling is still 4K, it just affects text and icon size.

Everything will still be native resolution.

  • For an extra $150 isn't this one better - 43" IPS - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-ViewSonic-VX4380-4K-43in-4K-…

Thought about that too, but I just think 43" is way too big as a monitor. I used to have a 40".

    • This one has HDR, but I'm not able to find any details if its proper HDR or not. But if it was, it would be great for future proofing

      • It says HDR10 on the website but I've seen posts say that it's really 8 bit as the brightness ccd (300) is too low.

  • i was looking at this one too ,expensive but 4K UHD G-Sync IPS ,tempting- https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Acer-Predator-XB321HK-32in-4…

    • $959.25 for a 32" UHD G-Sync IPS monitor, I think the price is quite good. 😊

Interesting monitor, very new, so hard to come by proper specs, no reviews so far.

In terms of HDR, this cannot be proper HDR10 as stated, as it only has 300 nits of brightness and is 8bit+FRC.

However, depending on the default freesync range, this could still be a good "budget" monitor for what you are paying.

  • Looks like another pre-order situation, even the picture is showing IPS branding.
