  Sorry to say, but they are cheap rubbish. Probably only borderline good for very occasional use

  I had one that I returned due to the retract mechanism breaking and one of the fitting leaking air.

  The second one annoyingly won't retract the last 3 metres after using maybe a dozen times.

    I got this quite a while ago and agree that this isn't good quality. The plastic casing is quite thin and quite flexible, and there isn't quite enough space inside between the reel and the outer case which leads to inability to fully retract if the earlier part of the hose has wound on unevenly. In my case only the last 2M or so doesn't fit. This means you need to pull the hose out and retract it slowly and carefully. I am tempted to just shorten the hose so that it can never jam since I hardly ever use it at full extension anyway. You get what you pay for.

    I think the standard fix for retractables is to extend the hose all the way out and retract.
    Has always worked for my garden hose one.

    (Just read above comment about not much space around the reel. That will definitely make it harder if the hose bunches up on itself)
