I recommend sending TGG ebay team a message to show your disappointment in the price jacking. I did.
I also let them know what I thought of their antics.

The day before the sale the item I was watching was $349. When the sale started it was magically $399.
I have checked their catalogues. Strangely, not only is my item not in the catalogue - the catalogue only expires today! So how did the price jump yesterday?

They've price jacked most of the items in Laundry and Refrigerators. You can even check their website, priced higher on Ebay after 10am and I know cause i checked a few items before 10am.

They had a demo model of the 107B on sale at Maribyrnong Good Guys last week, on a specials table wrapped in black and yellow "Danger" tape, for the door busting, world shattering, brain imploding price of $270. The Good Guys have totally lost the plot since JB took over. Not only are the store managers totally out of step with prices on the net, but it seems other Good Guys stores also, and their bricks and mortar stores are even being undersold by their own eBay store - which guarantees not to price jack, then price jacks the very next week!
That's why stuff like this happens, and its JB's fault. They've had shit management for years and now they are slowly destroying TGG:

Price jack for an oven I was looking at - increased by $18. Plus, normal webpage shows plenty of stock at local store yet eBay shop shows it out of stock and would have to pay $50 for delivery.
Also - eBay store price (before discount) = $769, online price = $699.
Interesting reply from their FB team: We work in conjunction with eBay Australia to run our eBay store, however we do not have the ability for the stock level indicators on eBay to reflect ‘real-time’ stocks (as we can with our own website).
For this reason, items with low stock numbers at a store will not appear as available for Pick-Up on our eBay store. This is a preventative measure to avoid a situation where customers may make orders for Pick-Up that cannot be fulfilled.
We hope this helps clarify this situation as we can appreciate that this may cause some confusion.
To answer your second question,Ebay operates as an independent marketplace to The Good Guys online store. The prices will differ due to promotions and Sales that are offered by The Good Guys, these are not necessarily the same prices in ebay.

Was planning to buy the Yamaha 107, but as mentioned they price jacked from $199 to $349, which is absurd.
However, I don't give up that easily. Found that they had overlooked the higher-end Yas-207, the price still remained at $399 (no jacking had occurred). So I managed to get it for $319.

Yes, Samsung 458litre fridge price from $1088 to $1145, paid for $966 (with delivery), going instore to pay the extra $19 (to upgrade to premium delivery for removal of old fridge) so $985 total. Rang Appliances online (Fridge was $1200) but they don't much auction prices, so still save $.

GoodJack Guys today for a YAS-107B soundbar, the ones that went from $199 to $349 magically overnight..On the clearance table were 2 "ex display models" listed for $270, pffft who they kidding.
Talked to a salesman on the floor and said I wanted this particular soundbar, but your $349 price isn't realistic. He explained the price increases were due to "market retail pricing" I chuckled and said what market are you talking about, told him his competitors have it listed around $200 and even better if purchased through eBay with discount codes. Whipped out the phone showed him a few prices, and walked out with one for $189, all in the space of 2 minutes.
The salesman was a real champ, no BS and doing what the GG are known for. Yes I could have got one slightly cheaper and waited 5 days for Auspost to smash the living cr@p out of it, but it's for a birthday present (tomorrow) and any issues can be sorted hassle free with the store down the road.I've had nothing but good things from the Good Guys, it's just the online practices seem to be dodgy. Same happened with that glitch with the google minis, all they said was get screwed
