  • I wonder what's going to happen to the price of this style 3d tvs now toshiba are about to release a 3D tv that doesn't require glasses

    • Soon anything else will be dinosaurs a change is coming http://www.electronista.com/articles/10/10/04/glasses.free.3…

      • 12" and 20" LOL, and they have to run a ps3 processor too. I wonder what the power consumption is like. Worse than plasma?

        • They can't make them much bigger, because strapping a 32" in front of each eyeball won't allow you to walk through a normal household doorway.

  • Sorry, OP, can't rate this one a bargain for the headline offer. KDL55NX810 can be purchased for $2843 delivered (or $2788 pick up in SYD) from http://streamaster.com.au.

  • I agree. I bought the KDL55NX810 with 3d transitter and two 3d glasses from Bing Lee for $2699 (incl delivery). This was last week.

    • Damn good deal! Any chance of a receipt scan or store details? Thanks!

  • What a surprise… David Jones didn't have the best price.

    • But not hard to get a price match.

  • +1

I think it will be 5-10 more years before we see mass customer production of glasses free 3d tvs. 22 inch glasses free 3dtv you are looking at $2000 and if you are looking at 50inch your looking at $50,000 at least. If you have that kind of money then by all means but in the mean time glasses 3d is the way. Glasses free will no where near be as good as 3d with glasses, there are problems with viewing angles and lost of 3d affects can be quite annoying.

  • i am just hoping they could push out these 3D TV faster so that the prices of big LCD TVs will drop sharply… then I can get my LCD/LED tv. :D

    • Why wait? Neither is as good as Plasma anyway…

  • I'd check out video Pro I think I saw this same tv for 2400.

    If not needing 3D, the 55" KDL55EX500:

  • I recently purchased a show model Series 8 Samsung LED LCD 3D for 3400 with two glasses from JB Hifi.
Since the launch of the series 9 you might be able to haggle prices for the series 8 ?

  • I bought Sony KDL55NX810 with 3D Entertainment pack back in December during Christmas promotion form MYER. It costed me $2475 after all the discounts.
