If this is true, I would say hold off for local warranty. I had the stick replaced no worries because my support worker abused it. Fortunately, they replaced it no questions asked. I reckon it’s not that uncommon for the stick to come loose.

Yes for example the V6 model is Australian stock. But this particular one the V8 Absolute is a Hong Kong stock.

V8 … the part that connects the stick to the mavhine came loose from the shaft.
Tell them you like the product so much and a portable vacuum is designed to be carried around, you need service overseas ;)
But seriously, Dyson customer service is typically great, if Dyson AU couldn't help, try Dyson UK. We tried and it worked.
Just remember that this is a grey import model that's shipped from Hong Kong. So don't expect local manufacturer warranty. You would have to go through Kogan for any warranty.
