In previous threads I have heard comments about the quality or lack thereof for these type of brands Julius Marlow, Windsor and the like. OP you are saying they are decent though?

    • I buy the Honest variety of Julius Marlow.

I wear them every day at work and get a new pair every 6 months.

I do roughly 8 to 10,000 steps per day in them too.

I find them super comfortable for my feet.

Why not buy R.M Williams or Blundstones that last longer?

        • +3

Why not drive in a Ferrari?

I've got big feet and have never found a reasonably priced men's leather shoe that was also comfortable to walk in without getting blisters in business socks.

          Just sharing my personal experience.

    • Julius Marlow has been punted around between a few owners and is now owned by Anchorage capital under their Brand collective title. They also own volley, grosby, clarks, etc.

Despite being marketed as a premium product, they are just a brand name and are probably made in the same factories as the department store generics.

I'm not a real dress shoe kind of guy so can't comment personally.

      • Anchorage doesn't own Hush Puppies or Clarks. They just own licences for these brands in Australia.

        • You're right, on that shoe brand rabbit hole.
I just don't know who to trust with me feet anymore.

I can concur that quality was an issue with a pair i bought early last year. It was the exact same model to one I bought 3 years prior. The sole was shite. Generally lasts me 2 years but this time was like 6 months. The leather isn’t an issue though. So I guess hit and miss. I prob do 5k steps a day and don’t take care of my shoes.

Still at 50-75$ you cant go wrong. Been tempted to More expensive (250-300$) pairs but I hear all shoes nowadays are pretty much the same.

    • The quality isn't as good as I expected when I bought a pair. The soles wore down real quick for me and a few areas starting to un-stich. If you get a new pair every 6 months that aint a good shoe.

I switched to Hush puppies and the soles on those are awesome. Seem to hardly wear down and the last pair I replaced after 18 months and not due to wear.

  • Can we return the shoes if quality is not decent?

It was posted yesterday. Amazon ran out of stock.

  • I just missed out on them by trying to work out how to use the 15% off voucher with a min spend of $50 just to save $3 lol! Lesson learnt.

I have to say that Julius Marlow are not a patch on Wild Rhino. They are really bad for your feet compared to other shoes imo.

I wear them for work daily. They are comfortable but not a quality though.
    I won't recommend to anyone.
