Some Logitech Gear - 100% Cashback Via Online Redemption - Starts 1 Feb 2011

4040

Some Logitech Mice, Keyboards, Webcams, Headsets and Cooling Pads are able to claim 100% cashback from Feb 1

see the website here
http://www.logitechcashback.com.au

still not a bad deal - given that after cashback, you essentially get the product for free

The stickers are on ALL the products at Dick Smith Arndale - and on the sticker it says, "Purchase me and receive 100% cashback". The upload is a photo of the sticker itself. I got excited as I thought I could pick up a logitech steering wheel with the cash back, but upon upon further investigation, I can see that only a limited number of products are included in this deal.

Only applies to these old models but 5 per household is not bad.

M100 wired mouse
M215 wireless mouse
K200 keyboard
C200/C210 web cam
Clearchat style headset
MK250/MK260 wireless combo
N100/N120 cooling pad

$300,000 is available for the cashback. If there are just 3,000 customers, so far, who know about the deal, that's about $100 each.

So, just a heads up there is a chance you won't get a cashback

  • Do they send you a copy of the confirmation form to your email?

    • Yes. Claimed 2 receipts, got 2 emails.

Whats to stop anyone from returning the products if you don't have to cut out the barcode? You can get duplicate receipts…

    • yeah…… that's a very good point.. i was lucky to get 2 copies of the 1 receipt from OW.. JB didn't let me. but the reason i wanted 2 was just incase my claims fell thru so i could return the products (incase logitech don't return the receipts within 30 days)

bu yeah if ppl are able to get 2 receipts.. i don't see how they can't "make" money out of this

  • +5

How many people will be buying the stickered products at the end of february hoping to claim back their money only to find the deal only lasted 3 hours.

    • +3

non ozbargainers, so a lot of people

    • dunno, I think a lot of people claimed illegally too, since the stickers were up 3-4 days ago, people bought these thinking they too can be claimed…feel for these people. they would of opened up all the items by the time they receive a email 28 days later saying…

"this item is ineligible for the cashback as it was purchased outside the promotional period, sorry for the inconvenience caused"

no cashback and also no returns…

      • complain to fair trading. t&c were not released by logitech until feb 1st.

      • Although the sticker does show the offer is valid from 1/2/11… so just like supermarket items with future competition dates on them it's reasonable to assume it's for products purchased within the dates specified only so I don't think they'll have much to stand on.

However I was looking at items in a DSE and found stickers on some non eligible products (eg speakers, numeric keypads, etc) and in fact on two sets of speakers that had been that had returned/opened DSE labels on them! The staff in this store clearly just stuck them over products that had a previous promotion sticker on them. Customers would only be able to find that out after checking on the website.

  • what does the printed claim form look like? is it just the printed confirmation page?

  • so far my guess of 4 hours is going strong.

from 9 - 11 am $1700000 has been claimed. Another 2 more hours and it will be over.

    • remember 12k or there abouts was gone before 7am. So I reckon before 1:30 otherwise gone

i bought 2 keyboard&mouse from dse website , what kinds of invoice number should i use for the claim?
all i get is the order confirmation number so far, do i need to wait until i receive the tax invoice with the products?

any1 else made the purchase from dse website?

    • -3

no cashback eligible for internet purchases…please read the terms and conditions…

      • +1

Michaelz101 : stop giving incorrect information. You get cashback for multiple products if they are on same receipt and < 5 products. And DSE online and jb hifi online are eligible.

        • +1

sorry my fault, just called them back and yes cyrax83 is correct. ONLY THIRD PARTY WEB PURCHASES ARE INELIGIBLE.

        • Do we use the order number or is there a receipt number somewhere for online purchases?

    • i did make a purchase from the DSE website… you can use the order confirmation number to lodge your claim…

Also the order confirmation can be submit as the receipt. See email from logitech below:

      Hi Ganadhar,

That’s fine, as long as we can see the model of product you have purchased as well as the balance paid in full.

      Thanks

      Hi,

If a cashback claim is lodged for an online purchase, can a print order confirmation be sent as the receipt?

      Please let me know.

      Cheers,
      Ganadhar

  • can someone please tell me what their printed claim form looks like? is it the form where you input your details or is it the confirmation page?

    • When I pressed print page only the confirmation page was printed.

    • +1

confirmation page.. there's a BIG yellow button @ the bottom that says PRINT CLAIM FORM

  • Just rang logitech.

The person I spoke to had a chat with her supervisor.

So basically, you CAN purchase 5x the same product, does not have to be different products.

Also, you MUST wait 2 hours between each online claim

    • -1

are you sure? this lady i called told me the exact opposite?

      • It does not say on the T&C that it can't be the same products…

        • Read number 14, (b)

The wording is a bit confusing

        • Multiple claims will be permitted, subject to the following: (a) claimants who have purchased multiple Participating Products in one (1) transaction will be permitted to claim multiple cash back claims on one (1) online claim form, up to a maximum of five (5) cash back claims per online claim form; (b) only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased;

    • have you tried killing your cookies?

      • Yes i have tried 3 different laptops/computers and deleting cookies doesnt seem to work
They go by Ip address, so just a 2 hour wait

Michael, I waited for a good 5-10 minutes whilst the person went to have a long chat and she assured me it was okay.
Its just a shame i didnt take down her name/id

        • What if the funds dry up before the 2 hours pass?

        • @Livert

Then you are either screwed or arguing an uphill case.

        • Try a different IP. Claim one at home and another in your office, or with your neighbour's internet. That will work.

  • Does having a unique claim number mean its gone through properly?

    Cheers

    • yes and you can track your claim…

  • +4

are people writing down their unique claim number on the back of the receipt as noted on the confirmation page?

"attach your original purchase receipt (with your unique claim number marked on the back), and mail to:"

    • -2

yes, why do you need to know ???

      • +5

just reminding people so they don't forget.. or skim read the instructions and don't do it..

        settle down

    • most definately :)

  • Will I still get a proper receipt at JB Online through Paypal?

    • +1

you get an order number and no other numbers to track with so i assume that would equal receipt number

  • Are people from VIC able to claim any cash backs? They seem to only have permits for NSW and SA.

  • i called up logitech support asking about the wireless mouse M215 seeing as officeworks had only the red colour in stock. they said that as long as the SKU is the same, any colour is ok.

anyone else called up to confirm?

    • the red mouse has a different SKU.

i know cos i got one by accident.. so i returned it

      • underneath the officeworks barcode its the same as the black one - 910-001544

        • But the list of participating products says:
          m215- Black.
I wouldn't take the chance with a red mouse.

        • it was 910-001563 (or something) on the red one i had.. definitely not the same SKU as the black one which i'm now looking at

        • yeah 910-001563 is the OW one. underneath that is 910-001544. still dont know if its worth the risk. probably not though.

        • umm 1563 was written on the box.. nowhere was 1544 written =\

but yeah don't risk it.. cos on the receipt it says "LOGITECH WLESS MOUSE M215 RED"

  • how do you retrieve the claim form if one couldnt print at the time of submission? the one in the email doesnt count does it?

  • The 2 hr limit is for each IP address. Use your iphone etc if you want.

    • dont think so, just used a diff ip and same result

  • We just passed half way! Only $145k left.

  • Just lodged my claim, managed to get a headset, webcam, cooling pad and 2x mk250s. I went to OW Dee Why first - they only had the wired mouse and keyboard as well as the webcam and n100 (but no mk250 or headsets). Picked up one of each item there, then headed on to DSE brookvale (Warringah mall) which had PLENTY of everything left. Bought my items there, guess ill return the OW ones.

Couple queries, the girl at dicksmith printed a second receipt for me and told me to send the copy and keep the original - do you think that would be ok? Other thing is, on my receipt it just says 'Logitech Cooling Pad' but doesnt mention the N100, would they have an issue with that?

    • no send the original.. but if she printed 2.. that should be 2 originals anyway

and i think it'll be fine with the cooling pad.. OW receipts have the model number and description/colour too which is good

      • i think you are limited to only 1 type of each product:

        Multiple claims will be permitted, subject to the following: (a) claimants who have purchased multiple Participating Products in one (1) transaction will be permitted to claim multiple cash back claims on one (1) online claim form, up to a maximum of five (5) cash back claims per online claim form;

        (b) only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased;

        • Several people have called and confirmed you can get multiple of each product.

And the second receipt says 'Copy' on it, and the time of printing.

        • do not use the second receipt, send the original

      • ahh well in that case yep definitely send the original not the one that says "copy"

my 2 OW receipts don't say copy on them =\

        • nvm: i'm blind it does say "copy".. small and near the bottom though

  • Im trying to claim and the form says 'Please ensure you have entered your parents/guardians phone number correctly' Any idea why it says that?

    • +2

if you are between 16-17 years 11 months and 30 days, you still need the parents/guardian details

If you are older than that, just repeat details

    • make sure you have javascript enabled and are not blocking sites. some fields will be automatically hidden/shown depending on what you input

      • I was using chrome, ill use firefox now.

        • Thanks, worked in firefox but not in chrome.

        • I had the same problem. Fix was to temporarily set DOB Year to 2010 which shows the hidden field, enter in a parental phone number and then change it back to correct year.

        • I got the same, figured it was a javascript error.

I'm 27 but put in my parent/guardians details anyway :-)

  • The DOB is a date in the 1980's… And there's no field for the parents number?

  • Thanks OP…just bought 5 separate items for a total of $218.77.

  • the JB and dick smith receipt doesn;t have the corresponding sku, it has a different number underneath the item description on the receipt. is this a problem?

    • I didn't fill out any sku's. Is that an issue?

    • neither does the OW receipt

and no i didn't write down any SKUs on the receipt..

  • I bought from JBHiFi Online
Called Logitech Helpdesk - the lady confirmed its OK to post the invoice printed from online. Already posted the claim but forgot to write down the claim number on the back of the invoice :(

Hopefully it will not be an issue

    • +1

not following the instructions on cashback deals is a great way to get rejected. good luck.

      • +2

Thanks for activating my panic button :)
You make me call Logitech - they said its OK

        Thanks Mate

  • IMPORTANT: Your entry was unsuccessful. You have already entered this promotion today.

that really sucks! how long does it take before you can resubmit?

    • +2

2 hours apparently. Or you can resubmit from a different IP.

      • ip??? awesome. tor!

      • thanks! it is indeed limited by ip address. changed my ip and submitted the rest of my claims.

    • Did you actually already submit the same receipt? I had problems logging on from work (proxy).

Tried it with my lappy hooked up through my iphone and worked fine :-)

    • what i suspect they have done is reused the "win $2000 every day" promotion code because when you click on the faq link the page title says "win $2000 every day". that promotion probably had a submission limit.

  • too bad only 5 items per household, i'm still don't have cooling pad….

    • +4

I think 5 was a bit too generous!

      • +1

i think it is end of line products that they want to get rid of.

  • I just ordered 2x MK250, M215, K200 and C200 via JB Online.

The receipt I just got shows that only the MK250 is instock and the rest are on order.

Is this going to be a problem?

    • I would think they would deny that as you don't have an invoice for the items.

    • Should be fine i think.

    • Thanks guys.

I just called up and they said its fine.

As long as I've already paid.

      • Great thanks for confirming. I was in the same situation, i thought it'd be fine anyway.

        • No problems!

Oh btw to people who bought multiple of the same products.
I reconfirmed with them that its fine to do that.

  • +2

    Embrace the negs soon

  • BEWARE: Once you click the "SUBMIT". That's it!

There is no real confirmation of what you have submitted and No "confirmation" page like usual to check what you have submitted…
I think just print a copy of the CLAIM FORM what you "submitted" before clicking "SUBMIT" (hard to argue as part of their T&C's:
My claim will be sent back to me, marked as invalid, if the details on the claim form and the original purchase receipt do not match.
You will get to a page with a Unique no. and some of your personal details!
