Brother MFC-J6930DW Multi-Function Inkjet Printer $178 (after $100 Cash Back) @ Harvey Norman

190

I just bought it with $50 Amex offer for higher price :(. My $100 cash back already in my account…

Share this one to anyone would like to buy a printer. I think $178 is amazing for wireless, duplex print, support A3.

I have set up a wireless printing at destop. Good
I have tried to print out from my Max2. Works but a bit slow when loading the photo/doc.
I tried to print from Mac book (didn't set up any software) automatic duplex print

Anyone tried to use compatible inks?

Anyone tried to use compatible inks?

Yes, i got them from inkstation when they are on 15% off, the compatible inks work well, they just cannot show the ink levels.

    • Thanks. That's really helpful.

So how much does black ink cost you and how many pages?

Just trying to see what the ongoing costs would be for this

    depluxe print

What on earth are you talking about LOL?

Do you mean "duplex" (2-sided printing)?

  • Thanks for sharing, OP

Officeworks $429. Price match for even more off!

    • For the cash back

      • Officeworks is a non-participating reseller

But I think you could try The Good Guys

      • Oh bugger! Then TGG! $429 there, makes it even cheaper when you price match!

  • Good price!

  • I've got one. Works a treat!

Native Google Cloud Print is seamless. A4 and A3 compatibility, duplex on both sizes, in addition to the manual/bypass tray at the rear for specialty paper like sticker sheets or envelopes is great.

I did have a couple of hiccups with the GCP setup in one instance; something to do with IPv6 compatibilty but a quick email chat with support solved it in a day.

Generic inks work fine. Haven't found an ink-tank system (CISS) that matches yet, but my low volumes means it's not critical for me.

  • Thanks, just bought one

Buy a laser instead, inkjets will cost you more in their lifespan.

  • If you're going to spend this money, go laser. Unless you need to print quality photos then laser is superior in every way

  • Can someone recommend a colour laser that doesnt cost a fortune to run?

    • Brother HL-3170CDW if you don't need scanning/copying

      • mmm shoulda specified need same function as the Brother above…. print, scan, copy, fax

  • Just like to update my horrific experience with HV online - they have taken my money on the day of purchase over two weeks ago and have not even given my a email confirmation. I had to sit on hold for 30mins and still havn' heard anything - and one on would reply my emails - very poor form. havn'y received the printer as of yet.
