    No.

    • It says 7200rpm.

1600x900 actually suits some people just fine. There are some people at work for whom I have to increase the OS font scaling on their devices for example, as their eyesight isn't the best. Higher resolutions would literally be wasted on them.

      • Resolution isn't about size… it's about sharpness.

You're saying there is no difference between 1600x900 and 3200x1800 with everything scaled 200%?

        • The benefit to having a higher resolution screen is so that smaller text will look sharper. Finer details will be clearer.

People who are farsighted cannot focus on a screen that is close up, so they have to sit farther away from the screen.

When you sit farther away from a screen, you won't be able to read small text easily. So you scale the text up, giving you the same effective screen area of a lower resolution screen.

At the end of the day, the person is sitting farther away from the screen, and the text is larger. That negates the benefits of a high resolution screen.

It's the same reason why billboards have really terrible resolution. They look terrible close up, but when viewed from a greater distance, even perfect eyes cannot resolve fine details. They all look perfectly fine.

      • It's been updated then, that was copy pasted from what was there.
