seems like the good one, but is wider (40 instead of 36) but less depth (20 instead of 23. The key is will it fit the metal frame at the airport.
Never had a carry on bag put through there and my hand carry is a backpack that will never fit through it.
They were most concerned of the weight. Not that my carry on has been weighed all the time. I would say at least half the time they were. Even then some of the time im over 1 or 2kg. They still let through.
Calling something "American Tourister" makes me think that it's going to be a fat, loud, unaware bag with an eagle sitting on top.

Can I return it if it fails as a carry on?
Hi, the 55cm Herolite is approved cabin size for Qantas domestic and most international carriers where the limit is total linear dimensions of 115cm. It may be too large for some airlines with more restrictive cabin bag requirements that limit total linear dimensions at 105cm.
Looks like Jetstar may make you check the bag in - just over carry on size…
