Might want to mention "Switch" in the title as there's a Wii U one version one too.

Currently $67.45 on the eShop, if you prefer digital. Plus can stack with the 10% off eShop vouchers from Big W.

    • don't think you can do that unless the 10% vouchers have already started? Pretty sure the eshop sale ends the day the vouchers go on sale

      • +6

Yeah at midnight, so you have that whole day.

    • +2

Actually, after the 337 gold coins you'd get from it, it's only really 64.08.

Though using the 20 buck code at Amazon would still save you a few bucks either way.

      • +8

        Plus resale value later.

        • +6

Or the ability to still play in 20 years of they stop being able to download and have a nice case.

        • @kulprit: So i'm going to buy physical for this. I am feeling Splatoon 2 might be better digital. Unlikely to play an online multiplayer shooter in 15 years, and changing carts for game you want to play all the time is annoying. But still feels weird, even though I have no problem doing it for PC.

No my friend, that's keeping a seperate ledger where imaginary money exists.

What is the download size like? Is 1mbps download speed good enough?

      • Roughly 14gb

      • +1

It will take exactly 33 hours 24 minutes and 19 seconds.

        Well, give or take.

        • And that's if no one else in my family uses the internet at the same time I assume?

        • +1

@wtfnodeal: feels bad, that's extremely shit internet. Oh how Australia's internet infrastructure still remains shit despite nbn coming in.

        • @steven231: yeah upgrading to NBN as soon as my area has it. iinet thinks I might get 3-4 mbps after upgrading to NBN. LOL Australia probably is the slowest in Internet speed among all developed countries.

        • @wtfnodeal: where do you live? I count maybe extremely lucky with up to 100Mbps via cable.

  • Has anyone successfully priced matched with Amazon at any of the stores?

    • Not this deal but have price matched mario kart at JB before. No guarantees though, first store straight up refused. Second store was great, looked up the price and said it was fine.

    • +1

Harvey Norman always matches amazon AU price for me, online or in-store for switch related products, including console, pro controller, joy-con pair, games…

    • +2

yep, go to Harvey and just mention Amazon…they dont even check , I bought Kart 8 and told them Amazon has it for $65, he just did it…later I found it was $65.55! - saved and extra 0.55c, now thats a bargain

I don't know what all the hype over BOTW is.

I found it to be a pretty boring game. The durability system was annoying for far too long as you found yourself not killing creatures because you didn't want to waste your good weapons. Real shame they could have upped the durability 10x and it would have made the game a better experience. The crafting was also done pretty poorly, they should have stuck to a more traditional zelda experience.

If you went a bit further through you'd find that swords last longer than sticks. I somehow caused a Hyrule massacre and never once found myself avoiding enemies of any kind due to weapon depletion.

      • -1

Yeah but even then it was shit. it's only until you get the master sword that it's different but it's far too long.

  • I bought this game plus 2 * ps4 charger which at $37 , buy one get one free….https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B076P3QJQ3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Man Switch game prices are rough. I bought 5x PS4 games for $80 on the recent sales.

    • The PS4 has been out for 5 years compared to the Switch's 1 year though. Looks like homebrew is very close too so that's an option :P

  • +1

Thanks, will be my first game on the Switch after buying that Amazon Switch deal last week (that still hasn't shipped :( )

  • Saw this at JB Broadmeadows for $69…which isn't as good, but not as bad as the $79

  • +2

Thanks, got this and an xbox one play and charge kit for $62 delivered using AMAZON20

    • Cheers 🍺
I assume you got Nintendo Switch & Xbox consoles as this game is Switch 🤓

  • Showing as $94 for me

    • Click 8 new below where you can pick switch or wii U. Amazon themselves are out of stock at $65.55 but will let you back order at that price.

    • Look around on the page for $65.55 and Amazon AU seller..
