Not the cheapest but still really good price
Is this a fun game to play solo without online / couch co op? I love me an open world game and have never play these monster hunter games before

YMMV, but I’ve put over 80 hours into soloing the main and follow-up stories and I’m having a great time. I’ve played MH games before, but this is the first one I’ve really stuck with, because Capcom has eliminated many of the more frustrating/needlessly repetitive aspects of the MH “formula” and Wilds really feels more streamlined and cohesive as a result.
The fact the game continually introduces new monsters and gameplay elements really helps keep it feeling fresh, too.
My brother just ordered the game from the HN deal, so once he receives it we’ll start playing co-op.
The game isn’t open-world, per se, but the different biomes are massive and highly varied, and when you add in the different seasons and weather types, plus the 14 different weapon types, I feel the game offers a lot of variety to keep players engaged.
At this price, I’d say it’s absolutely worth playing, and if it turns out to not be your thing, I’d be surprised if you took much of a loss on-selling it.

15 hours easy/boring campaign, wasting your time, then grinding HR. You can solo for some challenges like fighting the monster first time but granding materials will be much more efficient with multiplayer, save you 50% time.
Doesn't the monsters HP scale with the lobby size?
I've played MH games both solo and co-op and it always seems to take longer to kill monsters by myself but I though that was due to my poor skills.
234% HP for 4 players team and of course, everyone generally does more damage because the monster not looking at you.
@Legendalvin: Higher DPS makes sense. The people I have played with all used bladed weapons so I think this might have not been so obvious to me since we are all generally getting in hits or not.
234% is a bit low IMHO for 4 people considering the DPS increase. Maybe I should get some friends.

yeah but isnt this single player? I mostly play single player even on PC/Switch/PS5 so it doesn't really apply to me :(

It depends how much you value your time though.
If it ends up at the post office and you have to travel there then Amazon is cheaper.
