Found Vodafone 3G WiFi Modem in Target (Cranbourne Central Shopping Centre) ticketed at $20. Seems quite a good price to me.

Note: Not 4G!

May come in handy using those recent Coles special $20 35GB data sims. Hope it is useful for someone.

No longer worth buying a 3G modem at $20, when 4G can be had for $29 now and has been as low as $10.

  Have not seen them that low. (Where are the 4G ones $29 or $10?) I was only looking at eBay prices last week as my mother has a few older 3Gs that are no longer required. I think I saw a Vodafone 4G one the previous week (Coles?) for about $60 with a sim card. Not all areas receive 4G also.

      There was also an Optus one for $9.95 at it's lowest, and that one comes unlocked.

      Would those Telstra ones work with Vodafone sims too? Have often wondered if these wifi modems are locked to certain carriers.
      
      We find wifi pocket modems useful when travelling.
