Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz quartz crystal, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.

Features

  • Open the original schematic design, free development software interface download, also allow your needs to be modified, easy and convenient to download the program.

  • Can simply use sensors, all kinds of electronic components connection (such as LED lights, buzzer, buttons and photosensitive resistance, etc.), make all sorts of interesting work.

  • Using high-speed microprocessor controller (ATMEGA328), development interface and environment are all very simple, easy to understand, very suitable for beginners to learn.

    This or raspberry pi?

they aren’t comparable. Raspberry pi is probably what u want. If u want cheap look into orange pi

    • It's more a question of this or ESP8266. These are programmable microcontrollers, not lightweight computers. The arduino/ESP has GPIO and is great for making custom sensors and controllers. The Pi is more suited to use as a low powered computer or media centre, neither of which are possible with the arduino/ESP MCUs.

They're completely different things, if you don't know why, then you probably want a Raspberry Pi.

This looks to be a genuine UNO rather than a clone, having said that, there is no assertion to its authenticity that I can see and clones are abound on ebay for sub $10 prices (that work just as well).

    • I have a ~$5 clone board I got from eBay and it works fine as far as I can tell. It came with a USB cable as well. They're all over eBay / AliExpress etc.

  • Unless it is specifically a genuine unit this is a ripoff.

Even if it were a genuine unit, id suggest to buy atleast one from local shops like core electronics, to support the open source hardware.

If you don't care, just buy from Ali for couple bucks depending on form factor. The tiny ones work really well.

Yes, this is a rip off price.

    • As Arduino is open hardware, nothing is "genuine". Arduino LLC sell boards under the Genunio brand (which these purport to be) but they're just one of many manufacturers of the hardware. I don't understand why anyone buys the crazy expensive "Geniuno". You can buy several from another vendor for less than one of these.

  • Why is this version twice or more, than the going rate?
