    Hey OP,

What makes this better than an induction ready $30 job from down the local shopping centre ?

    • I'd reckon this for starters:

"The base and structure of the pan comes with a manufacture-back 25 year warranty."

Your not going to get that with your Kmart or Woolies or Peter of K, Tefal pan, 2 years pulls theirs up for instance.

      • Yeah, but the warranty is only useful if they honour it. Interesting story here.

The base isn't likely to wear out even on low-mid priced pans, 25 year warranty is marketing given all Teflon has a weak point that will eventually kill the pan's usefulness: carbonisation. A good pan has a thick base is good for heat distribution, better Teflon adhesion, some added scratch resistance material in the teflo, a better quality handle etc. $85 is decent price.

What makes a Ferrari better than a Kia? How about a dyson compared to a no-name brand? What makes a global knife better than a kmart knife?

      • +1

Wrong product to make those analogies mate. These are nonstick pans. They only last as long as the nonstick layer. The 25 year warranty is useless.

You can't maintain it like a good knife either. You have to baby it till it fails.

They are heavy as a way to say they are good quality. But, handling a 28cm heavy pan for cooking is tiresome. The very opposite experience to be driving a supercar Vs a KIA.

It's not as versatile as a cast iron pan either. It can't withstand sustained high heat because of the nonstick layer.

Better off buying cheapo nonstick and replace, use cast iron for heavy duty stuff.

Unfortunately, it is terribly hard to convince someone how good an investment a good pan can be unless they use them for themselves. A warranty is warranty and it is valid through Affordable Kitchenware - so we are not arguing that point. Thank you everyone for your comments.

So if I buy this pan, regardless what evidence you might see later down the track, you will still honour the warranty if the pan stops non-sticking less than 3 yrs later? Because 10/10 with kitchen ware warranty, they are rejected citing misuse.

      • Loss of the nonstick within 3 years is covered by warranty. Misuse is misuse if you choose to misuse an item no matter what that item may be then a warranty will become void. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

    Hi SecretWarehouse,

I only started using induction cooktop and find most of my old pans are either not working or not working as efficient. Would appreciate if you could please offer some recommendation on frypan and cooking set for miele induction cooktop. Thanks.

    • Hi weixiaobao,
I would recommend WOLL Induction pans for your new Induction Cooktop. Some inferior pans do not work as well on induction unfortunately. Woll will heat up quickly for you and distribute the heat evenly throughout the pan for cooking. We have a range of Woll NOWO Induction and also Woll LOGIC Induction on our website at www.affordablekitchenware.com.au.
      Kind regards
