  9289 has a Preorder for a HP Core I5 with 1GB dedicated graphic at $699 here:

  So it's a matter of Acer or HP, pre-order or buy straight away & wait for cash back. Forget to mention the processor is different model though.

    Acer model comes with a better i5-520 CPU and a longer warranty.

      $30 more for a longer warranty and a slightly faster processor aint bad. Only problem is which brand… both are pretty shocking.

        the extra one year warranty is not with Acer.. it's just with BudgetPC AFAIK

        The HP also has a faster 7200rpm harddrive and eSata.. the TM5740G does not have eSata and only 3 USB ports.. The Acer has a numpad the HP does not.. the Acer will also run a lot cooler and (therefore) has a longer battery life

        Acer is a lot better now than before.. I've personally owned 4 HP's and they've all overheated like a bitch.. I'm on my first Acer (TimelineX 5820TG) and it's been a dream.

    Agreed, if it is super limited quantity then it should be marked as so.
