i imagine similar build quality with he other 850W 750W models etc which also feature decent reviews..

better price if you've been targeted…

EDIT

$132 shipped - or $124 w/ wish15

  • It says low in stock too. So there musn't be much stock which figures why there's such a discount in price.

    • $124 shipped if using the WISH15 discount coupon code. So price has been beaten if for that deal.

      • posted mid edit ,.

        • Yeah. This $124 delivered price is by using the WISH15 code but that one is targeted.

The thread about that code. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/381541

It's said if you get to see this web page and are not redirected then you are eligible to use the WISH15 code. In that case you'll be able to get this PSU for $124 delivered from that seller which you linked to.

  • Nice PSU, I purchased mine mid last year. Very quiet, the fan rarely runs thanks to a huge heat sink.

  • Is platinum better than gold?

    • All else equal, yes.

But this rating is archaic and not fully representative of quality. You can get PSUs that are technically 'platinum' that are more dangerous than bronze units. For PSUs, the only way to know what's good is to look at reviews for specific models AND WATTAGES (i.e. jonnyguru, tomshardware, and a few others) from those who have the full (and very expensive) testing suite. Some brands will have different OEMs at different wattages in the same series, making them worlds apart in safety.

  • Andyson is the OEM. Definitely not the best choice there.
