Xiaomi Mijia Sensor Night Light $7.99 US (~$10.68 AU) Delivered @ Joybuy

1020

Cheaper than Being Askhole's very popular deal earlier in the month.

The light has a 120 degree sensor angle up to a distance of 5-7 metres and changeable brightness. When triggered it will light up the area for 15 seconds. It's powered by AA batteries and can be stuck almost anywhere with its 3M adhesive back and inbuilt hook. Perfect for lighting up hallways, stairwells, cupboards, wardrobes or even as a bedside lamp.

AU$ based on current Mastercard exchange rate. Up to 5 can be ordered for $7.99 US each.

I have one of those cameras - they are a b#$ch to set up Some have been lucky, many not so (from what I have read anyway). I gave up.

      • Do you want to sell it?

        • I'll eventually spend a bit more time on it, it's just been so frustratingly hard to connect….

        • @wolfshooter:

Are you using an iPhone of Android device to set up?

      • +2

I’m the lucky one, setting up was a breeze and it has been working perfectly l

When i scroll down just under the rating theres $2 coupon u can get if u spend $20. So i bought 3 for $21.97 usd.

    • Strange, I can't get the coupon to work

      • Nvm, coupon showed up when I proceeded during checkout.

    • Nice, thanks. Got 3 for same. I have 1 from previous deal and they are excellent.

I actually prefer the yeelight honestly. Much lighter and brighter lumens with inbuilt battery.

    • Downside is that one hasn't been cheap for a long time.

    • Waiting, waiting, waiting for that one to light up my life as well.

    • Yep, been waiting for this one too

    • That one is ugly as hell tho

  • Been trying to signup with joybuy since forever.. Still no verification email (not in junk either) :(

Just worked for me with gmail.

      • Yup didn't work with my Hotmail account. So used gmai.

How does it compare to this one which is about half its price? Seems to have good reviews

    • That one is also available in cool/white light and comes with double-sided tape, while this is only warm light but has a loop for hook.

    no stock

  • Does it switch off automatically after 15 seconds even if there's movement in the room?

    • +1

      It will be on again

    • +3

Yes every movement that it picks up adds another 15 seconds.

  • The USB model at price cheaper than this please.

  • Could this be used outside? Under cover?

    • I don't see why not as long as it doesn't get rained on directly. I guess in time the metal interior parts will rust out.

    • I have one on the outer door jamb of my front door at the same height as the deadlock, about 12 months now, no problems. Well protected from rain though.

Still waiting on the USB ones, this has batteries so not buying.

    • Are you saying you dont have a kitchen drawer full of AA Eneloops? Really?

      • I do for sure :D

For environmental reason I prefer no batteries. Also don't have to worry about recharging them, and I can just plug the device into USB on the pc and recharge easily. Just a little bit less fuss.

  • I got one in the last offer, it came last week. It's very light weight and quite attractive. We stuck it on the en-suite mirror and it works brilliantly. We have it set on the lower setting and it's just enough dim light to see where you're peeing and not enough to disturb a sleeping partner.

Possibly my best purchase this year.

    • how bright is the brightest setting?i know it might be hard to describe but compared to say a 60 watt globe? and does it stay on after 15 seconds if you're still in the area moving? (i dont want to fall asleep on the toilet if it's nice and dark again while I'm still sitting there) ;) thankyou

      • It's more like the light given out by a few candles without the flicker. The thing is powered by 3 AA batteries. I can't guess lumens, but only about 3-5W on the basis of an old incandescent light bulb.

  • I got one of these the other week, and after only a couple of days mine has a problem where it stays on and won't turn off! Without anyone in the room, even with the room lights on (it is meant to be smart enough to not turn on if there is lots of light in the room already). Anyone else have this problem?

    • +1

I've got an issue where it does the opposite. Extremely low motion sensitivity.

      • same here. i thought i was going crazy - everyone else are loving them, mine definitely doesn't have 120 degree sensor, and takes quite a bit of waiving around to activate, and at 5 meters i could get fit waving around and it still wont activate.

How long does shipping take as I will be overseas from mid-July for 6 weeks.

    • Shipping can be 2 weeks to 2 months

Good deal OP, but on two different browsers every attempt to process generated a "Website is busy, try again later" error.

The price has now been bumped up to US9.99, so I'll be abandoning joybuy.com and my cart full of $60 worth of Xiaomi toys…

    • There is a coupon option right below the price, and it is US$2, I wonder if you need to activate it to get the offer (I'm still waiting for my JD verification email, so I can't verify).

EDIT: oops, just realised that's to be used for orders over $20.
