      i get the japanese ladda not because made in japan, it’s because they are higher current ….supposedly less recharge cycles but i’ve yet to charge a battery 500 times …..

      +1 for Ladda, bought a pack on the weekend, tester gives +/- 10 mAh from reported 2500 for all four with 500mA test current.

  I was able to get my local bunnings to price beat eb's prices for the AA, AAA and charger pack last week. That was before they dropped the charger pack to just below eb's price.

  What about those Aldi "Activ" rechargeable batteries? Last time I bought AA x 4 is around $5.5.
  Are these Varta much better?

    You can any nimh in the charger. Use mine with Activ, Ladda, Varta and Duracells
