Will Wi-Fi be slower than EoP if it maxs out my internet connection?
Good tip - what kind of EOP would you recommend for my iPad?
I dunno man, I'm running 5Ghz wifi and i get 420Mbps on speedtest. Which is 300Mbps more than my powerline adapter which is always a good ~120Mbps speed.
My EOP keep freezing, requiring power cycling to kick start it again.
No deal. cheaper here and AU stock

Different router
Sorry so it is must be my dyslexia kicking in
Almost did same thing ;)
Cheaper by few dollars ($211.20) from same seller on ebay … eglobalcentral-au with 20% code 'password' …. (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brand-New-Asus-Dual-band-Wireles…). Good price. Been looking for a few weeks, price on eglobal has ranged from $194 to $220+ plus delivery.
Does it mean Asus is going to discontinue AC68U (because of TM AC1900) and drop the price for AC86U?
With this price, I will get the AC86U instead.
just got myself the ac86u from this store. unlike the 68u, it gives me VPN speeds of upto 120mbps download. the 68u i think maxes out openVpn at maybe 50-60mbps
Can you confirm the openvpn speed? I was disappointed by the speed on the 68u, was like 12 mbit or so
Is ac86u only with asuswrt merlin?
for those interested the RT88U is also available at only $46 more. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/379158
my post had a lot of comments about warranties and the like so buyer beware?
BTW if you want fast internet get a powerline adapter, wifi will always be slower. Also routers can't be fast if your internet connection is slow.
