Does your "Nerf" gun have a pic rail?
Some of the new ref stuff uses pic rail or a variation of it and some things will work on it. Some of the older Nerf stuff, no. It looked like pic rail, but was actually square, not tapered.
All is not lost though. If anyone wants to fit pic rail stuff to their Nerf guns, I say do it, it makes them way more fun to play with. If you can’t get pic rail stuff to fit and you have access to a 3D printer, there are heaps of Nerf to pic rail adapters you can make up for what ever you need.
Would any sort of sights work on a nerf gun? I mean the projectiles are pretty random; kind of like sky rockets, all over the place.
Nerf guns are as inaccurate as they can possibly make them. They are terrible. But I have some cheap Chinese holo scopes on my short range Nerf guns, and at that range, they are pretty good. It’s more about making it look tactical than accuracy. Fashion over function.
I don’t think I would put a $160 Bushnell scope on a Nerf gun though.

edit I don't have any issues even with firearm posts if they are genuine bargains, I do have issues with posts that when you look at Op's history are evidentially troll posts.
The ones on ebay are all counterfeit. This is why they sell them for 100s under retail. A quick look at that ebay sellers negative feedback would show you.
