I was looking at getting the Flip 4 from The Good Guys who has it on sale for $128 but luckily I found it for $98 at Officeworks. Not the lowest it has been but the best price by far at the moment. Other stores may adjust their prices to keep up.

Even better. I thought it was great to be able to pick it up from a store on the way home from work.
Click and collect😉
Sold out on ebay
Thanks for the link
MAGIC10 only works if it's over $100 :(
EDIT: Nope I just wasn't targeted. It's minimum $50Thanks mate, have had a targeted $30 off on my account for some time so managed to get this for $68.
These are great for traveling
The Charge is even better as you can use it to charge devices as well. The Charge also has stronger bass, if that's what you're into.
I already have a Megaboom, it is chunky for travelling and personally I rather have something bit smaller :), I tried the Charge 3, not my favourite taste as the megaboom. But if any small portable speakers under $100 I would be keen to buy another one
For me, it was great to have with us travelling with the family on the road. I guess its size wasn't a huge factor since it was gonna be transported in the car rather than a backpack or something.
hows sound quality for a 5mx5m room?
Marginal. Better to move to a 4.9mx4.9m room ;-) It will be more than adequate.
Yeah. In a 4.85m x 4.85m room, it was a bit too overwhelming.
in a 4.84m x 4.84m room, WHAT??!?!
You need a bit of coffee.
@homersimpson: A kid asks his dad for $20.. Dad: $10?! what do you need $2 for?!
@homersimpson: matcha latte to go please
HN have come to the party at $98.
How does this compare to Anker Soundcore 2?
Thanks OP, got the Teal just to be diff! Anyone know if these are actually in stock and we can collect straight away? it says ready after Sunday..
Will the Bluetooth or power go on standby on these speakers, or is there a way to keep them on and connected to an android device all the time?
What sort of maximum distance / range is possible with JBL Connect in your experience?I was looking at getting the UE Boom 2. Does anyone have any opinions on the best portable waterproof bluetooth speaker for sound, usability and value? Thank you in advance for all opinions.
Ue boom doesn't have a microphone like the JBL one.
Thanks mmd. Do you find the microphone useful? Can it be used for voice activation and calls?
Dfitt summarised it well.
I don't know as I have a UE boom
Who the f downvoted me? sxxm
Thanks Yaren24, why do you like the UE Boom?
The UE boom 2 is partially better in terms of sound quality, loudness and multi directional sound, but as mmd mentioned doesn't have a Mic.
In my opinion the UE boom looks better, but is also slightly bulkier.
Both good options, so its more about if you're willing to pay the 50% extra to get the perks of the UE Boom.
On a side note the music pair function is pretty good with each of them, so if you have any friends just get whatever they have so you can have surround sound.
Waiting for $44 goodguy deal come back
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/371998You mean $44 pricing error.
Still got one
It was a pricing error.
If buying from their eBay store add an additional $1 item to get Free Shipping ($94.05 w/Pull5 Discount).
Just a heads-up the Sony equivalent SRSXB20 is also on sale at Videopro ebay for $78 via the 20% off thing currently. Also the next version up SRSXB30 is $118.
Soothslayer, Which is better or theyre comparable?
IMO, Xb20 is a little better in sound quality, but jbl got better design and truely waterproof, xb20 is only splash proof.
I have 2x XB20 and the stereo mode is just amzing, of course in bar of its size. Haven't had any chance to try this for jbl yet.
Moreover, xb21/31/41 have arrived with better design and waterproof.
I grabbed two of these at $88 each from HN a while back (price matched another store). Wanted stereo sound while camping and in the backyard. They're great speakers and can be paired together using the JBL app. Bass maybe a little lacking but for their size more than serviceable.
I'm happy with my cheesy unbranded Parklea Markets S207. There are a couple of variants (with and without USB socket) but they all look similar to this.

Sound is surprisingly good. Better on mids than my Logitech X300s. Speakerphone mic isn't as sensitive though.
Are wonderboom better?
Just picked these up, quite satisfied from the getgo as they are much louder than the Anker Soundcore Boost (I dropped it a few too many times, so now the bass has a loud buzzing noise). Sound is punchy as well, but we'll see how it lasts.
How did you find the SoundCore Boost, I just picked up some from Amazon for $85 and wondering if I should return it for the JBL4
I have flip 4, and used it for around 6 months and nowadays the battery dies after about 2 hours.
I would not recommend this to anyone. That does not sound good. If that happens to me I will contact JBL and try to get a warranty replacement or repair.
I just want to add that for me this will be a speaker I use when travelling, in the bedroom and hanging out in the backyard. If you are looking for HiFi sound it is better to save up for a decent amp and speakers and pair that with a Google Chromecast Audio or similar. The sound is great for a speaker this size, but none of these portable speakers will blow your mind when it comes to sound quality. But the amazing thing is that they have really decent sound and are small, portable and runs off a battery. They are really cool gadgets!
Isnt it cheaper here although on backorder?
[Back-Order] JBL Flip 4 Black $98 ($78 w/New User Coupon) @ Amazon AU
I picked up a blue one today at JB Hi-Fi. So happy with it from the get go. Thanks OP, will grab another tomorrow for me mate too.
You can get if for $93.10 from their eBay store with PULL5 or $88.20 if you’re targeted with MAGIC10.
