Whoever interested to buy versa, kindly have a read of Fitbit forum, lots of bugs going on with no solution from Fitbit yet, long sync time, sleep tracker not working properly , keep asking phone to restart etc etc
Yes I agree. I purchased this couple weeks ago for $225 by price matching at Officeworks.
Lots of bugs reported on the forums. My most annoying one is Connected GPS tracking distance is way off while running, bike riding etc.
Its kind of like being released into the market without enough beta testing, this is coming from a Fitbit user for past several years (having previously owned Fitbit One, Charge HR, Charge 2 etc).

Wouldn't that be a fault of the phone though and not the device? Being connected GPS its the phone doing all the heavy lifting and just relaying its data to the device. Not that it really matters. There just seems to be quite a few phones connected GPS just isn't good with in the Android ecosystem.
The same Android phone works fine coupled with Fitbit Charge 2 via Bluetooth in Connected GPS and gives accurate distance readings on the same route under similiar weather conditions .
I don't know where they messed up, software or hardware, but the Connected GPS implementation on the Versa is rubbish.

As a fan and user of previous and current fitbit products and their ecosystem, I dont want their product to fail.
But i also dont want to be a beta tester for them after spending $220 of my hard earned cash.
Thanks for the heads up.. Was looking to upgrade wife's Alta for this. Looks like I have to wait. Happy so far with Alta and myself is ionic user
Weird, I picked one up a month ago and haven't had any issues so far.
I'm using my Versa on IOS and not having any issues, are these issues occurring with both the IOS and Android app?
Wife got one a week ago, having issues with it too. Hopefully a firmware update can resolve some of the issues and soon.
Too many companies keep rushing to try and best Apple products. Sigh..
i got one for mrs just before mothers day..
as posted earlier they are problematic.. returnrd first one after 3 days trying all things fitbit support suggested. swapped to a new one and this ones similar… hoping theres a fw update if possible soon but if mrs complains then i will look at another alternative… shame apple ones are soooooo short on battery life ….
problems we have are..
1 calories burned wrong… well i wish it was right as sleeping my mrs burned more than someone exercising whole day.. better than weight watchers…lol
2, step counters are wrong, replacement ones better but still wrong,
theres other things she mentioned i cant think of..i would hold off getting one till fitbit sort this out or look at alternatives…
Wow did not realise the Versa was flawed. Was looking to get it, but after reading the posts here I might have to turn somewhere else. thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks for your feedback @roosterman. I was so keen to get this since it got Fitbit pay and storage for music. It is starting feel like a smart watch. But having heard this issue, I am thinking of giving it a miss. I don't want to look for alternative since I'm with Fitbit (currently with Blaze) for a while now. Since I got my family and friends are on the same ecosystem, I don't want to miss out on group challenges. Very disappointed that they introduced a new model with so many bugs.
