PULL5

Was looking for a a cheap Whey protein and tried expired deals on ozbargain. Noticed this one works with PULL5 it's about a dollar point something cheaper than the last time it was posted.

It comes down to 13.85 per kilo. Needless to say I purchased some for myself.

  • Is this stuff any good and worth it? How long would it last?

    • An easy way to see if they're adding junk protein to the whey is to see if it says 100% pure and if the Leucine is 3-4000mg per 24g of protein (which is usually a 30g serve of WPC).

Their ebay ad meets all of that criteria but who knows whats actually in it!

  • Is this brand legit?

    *edit - oh its unflavoured

    • I have the Beta Alanine from this brand. Not bad at all. Can't comment on protein quality since I haven't had any.

  • Where is the protein sourced from?
Any COAs available for protein content?

    • I am still waiting for the COA for their mass gainer. Been two weeks.

  • Looks good on paper.

  • Cheap cheap but not so sweet with no flavour. Did you find any decent deals on flavoured?

    • Flavours = a lot of junk as well. Best to stick to the basics. Just mix the powder in the smoothies

      • I don't know if I would say a LOT of junk but yes it includes something thins that may not be the best. For me it's well worth the trade as I don't want to be making a smoothie 2x a day. Whereas I could just mix with water/milk and be on my way.

        • Just add a bit of Milo, or another healthy alternative, like honey, maple syrup, stevia and some coco powder.

Can someone explain to me why people buy this?

What do you use it for?

    • +5

You use it to get swollen, after going through strenuous activities.

    • +1

I find if you get 2kg+, works really well as a door stop.

    • Well, personally I use it as a method of consuming protein.

      • Why, most people get more than enough in their diet?

Any excess protein is only beneficial if the person is doing resistance/weight training.

        • +1

I find it a convenient way of consuming the amount of protein I desire, I'm not most people, I have a nutrition science and human anat and phys degree, and I lift.

  • I bought it last time. It does not mix well via spoon. Probably needs a good blender

    • +5

I don't think I have ever seen a protein powder mix well with a spoon. Usually you will need a shaker or as you mention blender.

      • I use bulk nutrients wpc and it mixes fine with a fork.. about 30-40 seconds and you're good to go. Not the same as a blender of course but good enough to drink. 5kg flavoured wpc is $30 more than this deal tho.

  • They look legit. Have some creditations, but no test results. I guess you sort of get what you pay for in relation to the product actually matching the nutrition facts. Damn that's cheap protein though.

Happy to pay more for legit stuff from BN or Venom.
