    Samsung > Seagate IMHO.

  • 2.5"?

You get a 2TB external drive for $10 for Harvey Norman & it's a better drive than Seagate, too.

Unless of course the drive from DS is a small pocket drive? Don't know though because you have indicated otherwise.

The $99 samsung is 2.5" USB powered this is 3.5" AC powered.

How do you know what this is? Or what model Samsung the OP is referring to?

  • I feel it is better than 99$ offer from Harvey Norman??

Not really - the Samsung at Harvey Norman is TWO TB

You could have been a bit more descriptive about what the Seagate actually was - like the model number, the size, design/model or even a link to the item in the Dick Smith store would help.

(Why is it that people post deals, but don't link to the product?)

  • The drive requires external power. Cannot be 2.5".

  • OP, are you sure this deal is 2.5"????

No mention of size or power cable required though there is
mention of it in the comments, ie. a power cable is required.

    Must be a 3.5" then.

    • Yeah its 3.5", im pretty sure when it says "Desktop" its refering to 3.5"
