I wonder at what point is a cheap table a good idea to put an expensive computer on..

    • +1

      cheaper than the mice?

These desks are adjustable fair enough but they look too much of a pain to be considered sit/stand desks, it looks like you have to undo 2 knobs, pull the thing up and then hold it there while you do the knobs up and hope that its level. As someones whose had sit/stand desks in the past I never saw ome that required more than a few seconds effort to adjust.

      It's only $36.99

For $36.99 Jackson's expecting someone to come to his place and adjust it for him

        • He is an ozbargainer… it’s getting as much as we can for the lowest price. :p

now I need to find me a printer that can print cash with running cost below printable bills.

        • Yeh, get with it Jackson. Would you like it to brew you some beer too?

They're just cashing in on the term - they are just adjustable tables, definitely not a sit/stand desk. Would be a nightmare raising it whilst loaded. But they are cheap.

Also most sit/stand desks rise up to 120cm. These are about 20cm short. Might be an issue for some…

      • gonna get crook phone neck if you use it while standing

    • This is the desk I got at my work, https://au.amara.com/products/float-desk-white
For $2700, I wish its electric LOL

    Height adjustable 67.5-99cm.

What is this, a standing desk for ants?!?

    • Totally agree. This would only be good for those that are 5'5" or shorter. Any taller and you will be crouching…..poor posture and wont be comfortable for long or even short periods. It may well be only $35.85 however if it doesn't suit your exaxt needs, you will have a useless table cluttering up your space. Put the $35.85 towards a table that is the right height …….and one that is easier to adjust. If however you are 5'5" or shorter it may well do the job and in turn possibly a great deal.

      • Maybe it is just built for giants to sit at?

        • Maybe for giants to sit on.

I got 2x of the ALDI ones from around this time last year. They had a crank to do the adjustment.

We have AIO desktops and in trays pen stands etc and no issues cranking up or down with that weight on it, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/310629

Would be nice to find similar on eBay with the crank

  • cheap, yes, but not a real "standing desk"
I got the Aldi one last time it was for $100 (I think) and quite happy with it.

  • Expect a bunch of unused computer desks on gumtree in the coming days..

Not a fan of these dual-level desks.

All you need is a sold adjustable single-level desk, and a decent adjustable monitor stand that clamps to the desk.
If anyone wants suggestions let me know and i'll make the effort.

    • Hey mate would love a suggestion for what you're talking about, I'm on a budget though

      • I was thinking of monitor stands - as long as you have a good one you only need a single level desk.

This firm has a good range, and a simple clamp type with pole is probably the best. There may be cheaper ones out there, but i'd avoid anything complicated.
