Same item is for $20 in Coles. I purchased with flybuys dollars. So, literally I got it for free.

    • +6

No such thing as free, you paid for the Flybuys points via your groceries.

      • What about the Dare coffee they handed me at the train station this morning

        • +6

          Free = Free advertising.

You just advertised for Dare coffee on OzB website… and all it cost them was their product which is probably only worth 10c to make.

They hire marketers for this reason.

        • +7

That cost you what little dignity you have.

        • @dangerdanger:

          Still free for me tho

    • +2

Also spending incentive programs cause more spending to occur than without the incentive program.

So not only are you not getting for free you are losing money compared to not getting it.

      • +5

You can't extrapolate that theory to everyone.

    • +1

I grabbed one for $20 at Coles along with a 6 pack of replacements heads for $28 (down down from $44).

Buy the kids version, they come with only one brushnhead, but uses nimh instead of nicd, made in Germany instead of China as well.

    • Double check if the kids one are nicd and Chinese made. Local Coles is Chinese but Woolies and Chemist Warehouse are German. Guess they are the last of the German stock……

      • Just bought the kids from my local coles ($20), they're defo nimh but didn't check country…

        Thx for the info…

        • +1

Can confirm made in Germany, just checked when I got home…

          @mshannon:

My local Coles has Frozen & Star Wars ones for $20.

Star Wars has nicd battery, Frozen are German made with NiMH battery, which I've bought based on this thread's recommendation.

        • @JoelT:

Fk Bought the Star Wars one, should buy Frozen

Ugh I just bought two refills on Friday from Chrmist Warehouse for $15. Would have preferred a spare toothbrush for $5 more.

      Reported to the mods.

    • +1

Ditto - that's my logic for buying these. I also get a new charger too.

    • Dollar cost average!

  • +2

When I read "2 refills", It makes me think there are 3 brushheads (1 on the toothbrush as per pic and 2 additional brushheads) I think Chemist Warehouse should stick to "1 additional brushhead" as stated on the packaging

  • Brush heads cost an arm and a leg

10 for $40, without even looking around. Dental hygiene is pretty important, I wouldn’t call that expensive by any stretch.

      • +1

Yep and they last three months each. It's chump change.

      • I didn't go to the dentist for about 7 years (and 5 before that visit). Only problem was slightly inflammed gums, because despite being lazy on the dentist I'm up on my brushing and flossing.

Saved a lot of money, really.

    • Buy mine from eBay, not expensive.

Comes in some German-language packaging. German engineering? :)

  • Nice find. Too bad I bought one a couple weeks ago + 1 refill for $25, d'oh.

  • Are these decent for $20?

I see deals with the $150+ ones on here too but compared to a regular toothbrush will this one be 'better'?

    • These are 2 directional, 3 directional ones are generally better and will pulse forwards and backwards a little.

  • what's the cheapest way to get a charger only? purchase a vitality when it is around the $20 mark?

i bought a chinese one from ebay and it literally lasted only a couple of minutes before dying.
