These were very popular back in the UK. New to Woolworths, not seen them in Australia before. Not sure if these are an introductory offer price but $2 is a very reasonable price for these cakes which taste great!

Any other flavors
Just this one I think. Shame, because I used to like the Chocolate ones.

So is warm beer.
Ask the Aussie barman for some ice.
He'll pull out some powdered material
If the Mr Kipling snack packs (choc, lemon and angel cake) are anything to go by..
These will be amazing… :)French fancies they were called. Don't know why they've dropped the word French for the aussie market.
It's cos of brexit. :)
even at $2 the angel cakes are pretty average imo :|
taste wise its unremarkablebelongs in same category as warm beer as jv said
I also agree.
They had vanilla fancies at Christmas. I still see them around. I don't know why they don't have the full variety boxes like in the UK. These things are beautiful.
On a side note, if anyone can get me angel cake (not the rubbish little snack sized cakes) I will give you all my money.

Sounds like a reward for a missing child. Please, if anyone has found my little angel cake…
I guess if you've never heard of angel cake it might?
The vanilla ones are sold at coles
Had some of those tarts (?) with icing and a red cherry on top last year, they look great but didn't taste the same…
Had some of those tarts (?)
Lots of tarts to chose from in St.Kilda. (Acland St)
Cherry Bakewells are amazing.
15g sugars a pop
can't stop at 1 , prolly finish all 8 in one go = 120g sugars
The vanilla ones at coles are also on special for $2 if any one is interested.
What are these like? Texture wise.. are they like basic wet mud cakes with icing? The image looks almost like a mochi (rice based japanese cake)
Sponge centre with a icing coating and cream at the top also coated in icing.
Tried one as it was $2 at our local Coles as well.
Good for a small little treat after dinner, a bit too much icing for my taste.
I liked their chocolate cake better.
Good find OP.
