Gave the bag a little squeeze and got a lovely beany aroma from the breather valve, smells gooooood ;)
that one way valve locks out the oxygen while letting the gasses from our fresh roasted coffee to escape. I think of it as a life support system when I am out doing coffee deliveries. A little squeeze and the Bay Beans bus fills with the aroma of fresh roasted coffee ;-)

Just about to order some but wondered how fine you'd grind these on the Rancilio Rocky? I have a Silvia + Rocky combo but my wife uses it more than I do. She buys her beans from Moccopan which is ergh!

I have a couple of free videos on the website - this one http://www.baybeans.com.au/how-to.html#espresso is your Silvia machine in action. the grind is fine, but definately the rocky is more than capable of grinding consistently and fine. For the Silvia, your looking for a grind that feels finer than castor sugar (when rubbing between your fingers). you can experiment to find the ideal grind by extracting for 30 seconds, to get 30ml of coffee espresso. if you get less than 30 ml, then your grind is too fine. if the coffee gushes and you end up with more than 30 ml, then your grind is too coarse. just keep your tampling consistent and just change your grind settings till you get it right. If you have any troubles, call or email anytime.

Hi. Supermarket coffee is usually that old before you even buy it, but the main point here is to get the freshest coffee. Bay Beans coffee is roasted only after you place an order so you are guaranteed ultimate
