This a well rated all in one pressure and slow cooker. I nearly bought this last year when it dropped down to $169 but at this price I’m definitely getting it!

I’ve got one. Bloody excellent bit of kit. Just chuck everything into it and walk away. Brilliant.

      excellent bit of kit

JV: Doesn't it come already assembled?

      • +1

I'm not sure what that means - its a great piece of equipment

  • Thanks OP, we picked up one earlier in the week, works well 😊

  • Good stuff! but I remember getting one of this for less than 100 bucks.

    Found the link:

    • Thanks. Definitely cheaper back then (two years back) and it is interesting to note that the 'normal' price seemed to be AU$104.50 and then had the $30 cashback to reduce it to $74.50.

It makes this deal very over priced, especially for a model that is a few years old.

I'm still interested in getting this though. :-)

  • Great machine, mum swears by it

JV: If it's great then why does she swear by it?

  • I have the Aldi Crofton pressure cooker, I was thinking of this one but I wanted a little larger than 6L, more like 8L and 8L electric ones are very expensive. The Crofton you put on the stove, I think I paid $64.99.

    • Hope your ALDI one isn't the model that was recalled?

This is good, have had for 2 years, had to replace seal and pressure valve, cost $30 plus $10 shipping. The manual is shit, make sure you regularly clean the pressure valve by unscrewing it off the lid and running it under tap water to prevent pressure issues. Customer support is clueless about reassembing the valve and base, take pictures as you go if replacing parts. Besides this I use it at least 3 times a week

  • If you check the OZB history for this product, it has never been posted with such a high price

  • I have bought this during the last deal, and the outside coating on the bottom of the pot has already started to peel. Also, several functions do not accumulate pressure properly - waited up to half an hour and then ended up using manual setting only. Otherwise, its been great, but planning to try exchange it in the next few days again. When i originally tried to return it at DJs they told me the coating peeling is normal wear and tear and wouldn't exchange it. I have had it for less than 6 months. Wondering what others opinion on this is?

i'm not that impressed, found the pressure cooker is great with the exception of rice, taking upto 45 mins sometimes.
Slow cooking is hopeless and same with the sear function which doesn't get hot enough.

if i had a choice i'd go for a different multi cooker.

I’ve had mine for well over a year and it’s not peeling. There’s a few scratches here and there but that’s it. I would be a bit cranky that peeling is considered normal wear and tear after just six months.

Have you checked the pressure valve is screwed in tight at the top? I think there’s a black part you can tighten. Mine stopped reaching pressure at one stage and I realised it was because it had come unscrewed a little,

For the record though, I don’t particularly like it at all. I loved it to start with but over time I find it’s a bit inconsistent with the way it cooks. Nothing ever really comes out nice. It’s either a big pile of slop or undercooked. And the sear function is useless.

      • I will check it next time I use it and get back to you.

I've had mine for over 2.5 years - and i think its the best. I cook heaps of stuff in it. Saucy, meaty dishes work a treat in my pressure cooker. Trick is to not add too much water. I can't live without it.

    • Yep mine developed scratches in the pot - I emailed Philips, with photos & copy of my receipt and the sent me a new inner pot. They were extremely helpful. Just email with all of your issues they will resolve them

Much better off with a stainless stove-top pressure cooker.

Lasts a lifetime and they reach a higher pressure.

      • Yes, although I think Fagor Duo is better.

    • I have an electric cooktop so don’t think this is an option

Such a good cooker, ive had mine for 2 years and it still chugs along. I dont use it as often as i should, since its quite chunky if you have a small kitchen. I thought it was starting to screw up a while ago but it just turned out i needed to clean all the seals and valves properly. Youre much better off getting recipes online than following the included cookbook.

    • Theres an updated cookbook online for other regions which is better but yeah barely used it. I have a pete evans book which has been pretty good for one pot dinners has pressure and slow cooking instructions

  • I bought mine from the Reject Shop I think it was, it was either $49.95 or $59.95,heaps cheaper than this one!

  • I LOVE mine, excellent to say the least !!
