        the place is a shit hole

        You're just saying that so he doesn't move and you get all the fruit.

          "sssshhhhh, quiet!!" says altomic from his hammock strung up between two palm trees on the white sanded lagoon as he sips on a cocktail brought to him by beautiful topless young local women.

          @altomic:
          Surely at 29c/kg, you're drinking banana daiquiris! Just finishing another one - a healthy breakfast🍹

      No need to buy up here. Lady Finger Bananas (& sometimes pumpkin & sweet potato) grow like weeks in my yard ;-)
      (Not allowed to grow Cavs due to disease threat to Banana industry - Cavs are a bit tall for back yards anyway.)

        I'll have to come and visit sometime, I don't mind a lady finger.

        • +2

          A bunch of lady fingers is a lady fist.

        • @Scab:
          Then, there a lot of lady fists at my place😀

    • Absolut bargain.
      I just bought some bananas yesterday from Coles for $1.50

  • Bananas were same price on the south side of Brisbane at Yuen's Farmers Market, Kingston Rd, Underwood.
    Both theses stores are regular cheap F&V spots in Brissie with similar prices.
    My first visit to Yuen's - I'll be back!

    • Loved Yuen's market. Bought 4kg of nanas two days ago at 29c/kg to bring back to NSW.

  • Seem to be under $1 a lot recently at Sunnybank area fruit shops (Calamvale Central and Sunnybank Hills shoppingtown 48c/29c). Still about $2/kg at the local Woolies and Coles
