  • This looks interesting, can you tell me what kind of skills are needed to play with these, e.g. Soldering, programming etc, and what a good place is to learn?

    Ta

    • Yes, you're absolutely right. Soldering, programming, and Electronic knowledge are all needed to play with these items.
You could refer to these YouTube videos to learn more details:

    • It's such a niche area that I'm not sure that it even belongs to OZB at all. That potential $0.02 savings won't encourage or deter anyone who is actually buying these. Which is a very small market…

      • I don't think it's a niche area, nor is it out of place on OzBargain. Unfortunately this particular deal doesn't appear to be much of a bargain, but integrated circuitry of various types comes up reasonably often and appears to be well received.

As always, ICS spam items exclude postage and so more expensive than ebay standard price.
    The amp is $8 delivered.

  • How long is the delivery though ? ebay delivery takes a month. im willing to pay more to get it sooner.

btw, you need to register to check how much/how long is the postage so i dont bother to check it myself

Standard price on Aliexpress but shipping is cheaper there.

    • Thanks for your comment, we want to clear that the product price is cheaper than ebay and aliexpress, you could check again. The extra $3 is the tracking service from China to Australia. Please kindly noted. :)

Kindly noted your promotional delivered price is more expensive than Aliexpress and eBay standard price.

Went to buy a couple micropython boards but postage kills it.

  • Just echoing everyone's feedback that postage does take quite awhile (up to a month).
I'd normally say you get what you pay for with postage, but Banggood can deliver in under 2 weeks for $7. If ICStation can match that, I'd prefer to buy from here.

I will say the quality of products I've ordered in the past (mainly amplifiers) have better build quality than anything I've bought on eBay, AliExpress, and Banggood - there's a lot of amps that claim to be 2x50w, but are only 2x25w with crappy audio capacitors.

    In summary:
    Quality is better at ICStation
Price Inc. Postage is better at Banggood

    • Dear Sir,

Thanks for your great supports to our website. :)
Glad to hear that you're satisfied with the quality of our products. Great honored.
You're right, the shipping time is always the biggest problem, we'll try our best to do better. Thanks for your comment.^0^

    • I have a hard time believing that quality would be any different - these are solely resellers, not manufacturers and most likely they are buying from the exact same manufacturers.
Having said that, you might have had luck one time, but it's like saying that 17 BLACK is a better number to bet on than 32 RED because you happened to win with that one.
In more scientific language, a sample size of N=1 cannot reach statistical significance ;)

      • Think of it more as, you're buying a genuine product vs a knock-off.
The knock-offs I've bought either don't achieve anywhere close to 50w, or the Bluetooth module fails.

You also have a gambling addiction.

        • A knock-off for an item that worths $5 and targeting a niche market? Sounds like the best knock-off business to be in, no wonder people are trying to get into it… sigh

        • @ocoolio:
i was hoping for another roulette analogy
