Originally Aleayr posted the 30% off deal on Amazon

Found the Tefal on the list of items for $222 which is already cheaper than all the other retailers:
Myers is $269
The Good Guys is $249
Jb Hi-Fi is $249

So 30% off of $222 is already a great deal, put it in my cart and check out, price comes down to $111, hm… that's not 30% off, that's 50% off.

Look around the page and see that it qualifies for "Mothers Day 50% off". Unfortunately, I couldn't find out anymore information regarding this 50% off deal, so don't know what products are part of it or even when it ends(have set the expiry of this deal on mothers day).

Update edit: as others have mentioned, this is stackable with recent "New Amazon Account Promotion" $20 off. Dropped price in title from $111 to $91.
Also make sure you update the shipping to free delivery, it defaults to express shipping.

Edit: Thanks RichardL for finding the T&Cs

We have one of these and I can't recommended it enough.

We use it on a regular basis to cook meat, chicken and sausages.

Automatically cooks food either straight out of the fridge or freezer.

  • How to apply this 50% off mine still shows $222

So it's basically just a George Foreman grill with a timer?

    • Hell of a lot better than a George Foreman grill. Read the item description.

The promotion for Mother's Day is advertised as 30%, but is actually 50%.

Im hoping this can replace my girlfriend. For $111 i think it is worth the gamble. If it burns a steak in the 1st week i can always call my gf and tell her i made a misteak. Wish me luck

    • This is the second generation to the one reviewed from 2013

    • Tragic Flaw
This thing under-cooks like you wouldn't believe. It performed commendably with grilled cheese sandwiches, burger patties and chicken breasts, but had no idea what it was doing with sausages, steaks, really anything more than an inch thick. And good luck if you want to cook something with a bone in it: seared bone, raw meat, nom. What's more, as soon as the Opti sensor decides the food is done it automatically shuts off the heat so you either have to switch over to manual mode or say to yourself, as I did, "forget this gimmicky mess" as you finish cooking you meal on the stove like a adult.

Sounds about right. Even in most of the commercials/reviews I've seen for this everything I seen cooked looks terrible (barely any grill marks on steak and overcooked in the middle).

    • That was why I went and purchased the Breville one instead.

It has a probe so it can cook to the proper temperature.

  • Thanks! Ordered one.

  • Got one. Thanks op.

  • Wish there was a deal for air fryer.

      • Wow. Looks like a decent deal. Thank you.

      • Lol delivery to Wollongong ;)

      • Number 1 air fryer with Choice this month.

I ordered for $99.94 delivered to Adelaide.

        • Where did you get it from at $99,94?

        • @baldur: he used the new user coupon

        • @nubix:
The discount was 30 percent off but.

        • +2

@baldur: Something off about this promo. Just like this grill, it's been advertised as 30% off but after adding to cart, it's 50%. I don't see the promo text for the fryer anymore though

        • @nubix:
Damn. And it doesn't even exist anymore. Should i talk to the chat?

        • @nubix:
There is an issue with the offer i guess and they are trying to fix it from what i understood from the pressure cook deal?

        • @nubix: Yes, putting in AMAZON20 gave me a $121.36 promotion discount.

I have the order confirmation email, and the order still shows in my Amazon account.

Fingers crossed that I get it on Monday.

        • @ChrisLevo: Delivered 9.30AM today (Friday) after ordering Wednesday lunch time.

  • Thanks a lot! Have been waiting for a good deal on these for ages!

  • +3

Bought one and don't even know if I will end up using it, another case of buying it just because it is a bargain. Thanks OP!

    • Its the ozbargain way.

  • Is there a list somewhere of all the products that qualify for the Mothers' Day discount?

  • +2

I don't know why, but I bought one…seemed too cheap to pass up lol

  • I got 2 cost was $202 for both

  • Had one since 2013 and used extensively! Not so much now I have a larger kitchen but was great in a smaller one.

    • How's the cleaning on it. Easy?

      • Plates are removable, but black baked-on shit has built up over the years, and I'm not sure how to remove it without damaging the surface. BBQ cleaner hasn't helped.

  • I need a new toasted sandwich maker - is this overkill?

    • Not if you have spare disposable $ to spend on it! Although nothing beats the Sumbeam $20 sandwich press from TGG.

    • As a long-term owner, yes. The top is quite heavy and it doesn't have a 'thickness' stop like a sandwich maker does, so it'll flatten your sandwiches. I've taken to putting a foil ball in mine to hold it sometimes.

  • For those who already have a WeberQ, is this device a worthy addition to list of kitchen appliances? What’s the verdict on the steaks/meats compared to grilling it via direct method on a bbq?

    • Could be but for steaks n stuff u need the Optigrill plus xl
I use one it’s awsome at steaks

  • Thanks! Just got one. Overkill for a sandwich press, but will do the job nicely

    • +1

Haha… I ordered one too as my sandwich press just died. I’m keen to try cooking some meat on it though, now that I’ve read some reviews.

    • Said the same above - these don't have a 'stop' on the side so you can set the distance between the plates, which means you wind up with flat sandwiches (have had one for several years)

  • Bought one thanks!

  • Thanks op! $91 so good!

  • Bought one, thank you. $91.00 for this one is awesome!

  • Just placed an order, wondering order one more :)

  • I have had one for years. It forgets the program and started beeping and flashing in the middle of food being cooked. Works fine on manual mode.

  • My foreman broke after 10 yrs service. RIP.

    $91 is a terrific price.

  • Why does it say T-fal in the last 3 pics instead of Tefal?
Could it be a knock off?
    Just asking

  • Bought one thanks. Happy shopping :)

  • I won one of these 2 years ago from tefal. Use it almost everyday. Well worth the $91 it’s a great grill.

  • Awesome deal, just picked one up as well for $91. Couldn't come at the perfect time as well!

  • This review in quasi-English suggests that the Optigrill (no "+") may have advantages over the Optigrill+:

    Conclusion
In overall, T-Fal Optigrill is better than Optigrill Plus, but the point where Optigrill can pit out the fat with fat drip system can be considered by the healthy-life consumers. However, the features and technology in T-Fal Optigrill are more advanced than the Optigrill Plus which makes a big gap between these two products.

However, the controls appear to be identical, with the size of the plate being the only obvious difference.

Anyone who has had both products care to give their opinion?

    • There is way more features on the Optigrill plus xl bigger cooking surfaçe for people who like to cook meat

  • is the deal still on?

    • +1

It should be, not expected to expire until Mother's day.

      • I get $222 somehow!

        • Discount gets applied at check out.

  • Does the optigrill+ make those black bars on steaks when it grills them?

  • if we buy from amazon, how does the warranty work?

  • Thanks, bought one!

  • can't find it, think it might have been removed.

    • Looks like it's unfortunately been sold out or been removed.
I have updated this deal to be expired.

      • dang it! so close. Thanks for the post :)

  • Tried it last weekend but was disappointed with the steak cooked by this machine.
