    Shame that you can't stand behind your product for more than 90 days yet compare it to almost the same as brand new.

    Ouch 90 day warranty, an extra $89 for a 12 month warranty. So really the price is $598 ($509 +$89) given that 12 months is the min warranty offered on most electrical goods these days.

    Even Dell offer a 12 month warranty on their refurbished items.

        Well at $500 for a refurbished last generation Surface Pro 4 with a 90 day warranty, this is a no deal.

        You'd be better off buying a NEW current generation Surface Pro (2017) from the US without the local AU warranty.

    was tempted, but ended up buying a Lenovo Miix 700 in "Excellent" condition from these guys for $380.

    Will report on "excellence" of the condition when it arrives. I hope it comes with what is on the listing:
    - 8gb ram
    - 256 gb ssd
    - keyboard cover
    - pen
    - FullHD+ resolution

    if I don't like it, watch for a matching eBay listing

          @lakers1222: got it just now, running through the usual tests. The condition is amazing so far, almost no visible signs of use. I haven't checked that everything is functioning though, so will update later on. The pen is missing, too, but I kinda expected that. Costs about 30 bucks if I truly need it (and I really don't).

          @lakers1222: after installing all the updates and drivers and bios and firmware, and calibrated icc profile, I can see no fault with this device. no visible signs of use, except for one mark on the outside of the keyboard.

          @lakers1222: actually, I just found out during weekend that MIIX 700 is plagued with a variety of issues, which is why people are getting rid of them. So probably if you are looking for a reliable device, skip it. It looks like I'll be lucky if the item I got doesn't die within a month or two :) oh well, it works now, so let's see how it goes. Many people report issues, and I have seen a few already :D

          @O O: hardware I would say. like screen stops turning on, black or blue screens of death, some non-fixable, battery dying suddenly, and issues with the keyboard. the only thing I experienced so far is the keyboard and touchpad issue, but I found a fix

          although the rep tells me that those are fixed/revived units they sell, more likely with newer versions of hardware components, so less likely to have those issues.
