  • I recently cancelled my Qantas card applied last year, will i still eligible for this offer?? umm!!!

    • 12 months is normally the waiting period between offers. It's likely they'll sign you up but whether you are eligible for the bonus is up to their T&Cs

  • Isn't the ANZ Black FF card deal better? 75k QFF with first year fee waived.

    • +3

Not for those of us already weighed down by an ANZ card and ineligible for the offer :(.

      • And Westpac and NAB and Amex

      • I thought you can cancel and reapply after a year? (not sure but vaguely recall reading this)

      • But paying $149 greatly reduces the benefit of this deal.

    • +1

This has much lower min limit and min salary requirement.

  • FYI Citigroup is the backer of this card.
    Nice Deal!

    • So will it matter if we have a Citibank Signature card already?

      • No it won't, as I applied and was accepted. Though I did reduce the Citi Sig limit to the minimum before signing up.

      • I doubt it, I just thought it of interesting. Possibly will mean similar service.

  • This is better than the NAB pointhacks deal according to my calcs.

    • Do you look at the annual fee cost per bonus point ratio? E.g., 150/75000 = $0.0002 per point?

      • No I calculate as follows:
value of the points (0.7c/pt) $525
plus resale value of the lounge passes $100
        less the annual fee $150
        = $475

  • Can points be used with JAL?

  • Is Citigroup cards harder to get approved than Anz, nab, etc?

    • In a word, yes. They tend to ask for a lot more details than others, including in some cases ridiculous ones like your address in the 1990s, and they actually ring your HR departments to check your bona fides. Proceed with caution.

    • While they ask lots of questions my HR were on leave, which I told them (so they couldn't call), and I ended up approved anyway. So YMMV.

  • Hi, do they automatically send out the lounge passes with this one?
